As people age, their bodies become like rusty machines, always feeling a bit stiff and sluggish upon waking.
But today, Feng Jianye felt as if his body had reverted to its state from ten years ago.
It was a long-lost feeling of being relaxed, clear-headed, and full of vitality from the inside out.
"How strange…"
Feng Jianye couldn't help but mutter aloud. Puzzled, he continued toward the cafeteria.
He picked up his breakfast from the cafeteria's buffet line—a bowl of millet porridge, two steamed buns, and a side of pickled vegetables.
Feng Jianye had planned on eating in one of the small private rooms, but on a whim, he changed his mind when he saw the main hall bustling with young people eating and chatting. He carried his tray over and found an empty seat among them.
Soon, the conversations around him drifted into his ear.
"...how'd you sleep last night? I slept like a rock, all the way until dawn. Didn't even have a single dream."
