Si Cong watched as the last LPL team, EDG, was eliminated in the quarterfinals. He slumped back in his chair, expressionless, as if all the air had been let out of him.
Even Su Chen, sitting beside him, looked grim—not just because of the loss, but because of what the surrounding audience members were saying.
"Fuck, did I fly all the way from China just to watch you guys play like shit?"
"Is this the best the LPL can do? And they called themselves the strongest region this season? Looks like they're just hometown heroes! Hahahaha!"
