Deeper in the Swamp Forest, far from the roar of cannons, two figures stood motionless, like dead trees blending into the shadows.
One of them, his ears twitching slightly, said in a low voice, "The probe failed. The commotion is much bigger than we expected."
The other person grunted softly.
"The firing interval on that cannon is abnormally short, and the frequency is wrong. It's not like the intel suggested. Plus, the guys inside are quick to react."
The person who spoke first nodded, took out a simple leather-bound notebook and a charcoal pencil from his breast pocket, and began writing quickly.
"Upgrading threat assessment for the East Swamp faction. Possesses high-powered weaponry, suspected domestication of bee-type monsters, and demonstrates rapid response capabilities. Recommend raising threat level from B-Class to A-Class."
After writing, he slipped out of the tree's shadow and moved away from the fortress.
