One side of the woman's face was swollen, a clear five-fingered handprint visible on her cheek.
"You've got some nerve. How dare you strike the fifth miss of the Fairchild family?"
Seraphina Quinn's steps faltered at his words.
She looked up, her gaze cold as she met Damian Fairchild's. "She hit me first..."
Damian Fairchild cut her off. "But what I see is Miss Quinn, perfectly fine, while my sister is lying in there, unconscious."
Seraphina Quinn was left speechless.
Seeing her silence, Damian Fairchild continued, "You're not actually expecting Elias Sommers to bail you out, are you?"
Seraphina Quinn frowned.
Damian Fairchild sneered. "As far as I know, he just flew out of town for a business trip today. I'm afraid he won't be back anytime soon."
The implication was clear: either she could stay in the police station and reflect on her actions, or she could beg him for help right now.
