A slight resemblance.
An elder who was very good to me.
Zhou Fan's choice of words was very deliberate.
'I recognize you, but I'm not going to say it. I want to see what you have to say.'
Zhou Sihai sighed. He slowly took a yellowed, old-looking photograph from his pocket. With a trembling hand, he passed it to Zhou Fan. "Child, take a look at this photo. Do you remember it at all?"
Zhou Fan gave Zhou Sihai a questioning look and took the photo. A trace of warmth appeared in his eyes.
He didn't remember. But the moment he saw the photograph, many memories that had never existed—or rather, had been long forgotten—surfaced in his mind.
The photograph appeared to be a family portrait. Seated in the middle was an old man in his fifties or sixties. To his right was a young couple. The beautiful woman was holding a small child, who was staring with wide eyes and pointing forward, as if asking for something.
