Gao Yuan glanced at Li Mengqing, hoping for some clarification.
Li Mengqing simply nodded at him, confirming that yes, Lin Wanyu was serious about wanting a child.

'They must have talked about what Li Mengqing and I discussed last time,' he figured. 'That must be what led to this.'
"Are you sure you want a child?"
Lin Wanyu looked at Gao Yuan and gave a nod that was both earnest and sweetly docile.
She knew Gao Yuan had a soft spot for this; the more sweet and docile she acted, the more he doted on her.
Just as Lin Wanyu had predicted, Gao Yuan reached out and gently caressed her cheek.
