Holly Yardley chugged a glass of iced coffee, then slammed it down on the table, forcing herself to calm down.
THUD! The loud noise startled the person across from her. "Yardley, what's wrong?" he asked hurriedly. "Did something upset you?"
Holly Yardley looked at him and suddenly asked, "Hal, let me ask you something. If a man knows a woman is very into him but doesn't resist her advances and even creates opportunities to be with her, what does that mean?"
"A sc... scumbag?" Hal stammered, intimidated.
Holly Yardley frowned, thinking for a moment. "What if the man has a very clean social circle?"
Hal didn't dare answer. Instead, he asked cautiously, "Is this about you, Yardley?"
Holly Yardley shook her head.
Hal breathed a sigh of relief. "From my perspective, there's a new term for that: he's fishing!"
"Fishing?"
Hal grinned, a teasing look in his eyes, and explained with a currently popular phrase: "The best hunters often appear as the prey."
