At the referee's command, the four couples on the starting line began the three-legged race.

Everyone who had been moving forward stopped involuntarily. Then, Luna Morgan said something to Leo Bishop, and the two of them quickly adjusted their form and started running too.
Their pace wasn't particularly fast, but it was much quicker than just walking cautiously.
"Am I seeing things?" Iris Yates asked Vincent Vance. But when she saw his expression was nearly identical to hers, Iris knew she wasn't hallucinating.
"People can run in this?" Iris Yates wondered for a couple of seconds. "Should we try it, too?"
