"Take these umbrellas."
As the three were about to leave, Luna Morgan immediately grabbed the umbrellas from the hall and handed them over.
The trio, each under an umbrella, gradually vanished into the curtain of rain. Ruby Sawyer and Anna Summers exchanged a glance before heading back into the kitchen.
"Aren't all the roads up the mountain blocked? How did Silas Linden get here so fast?" Anna Summers asked, her brow furrowed.
"The roads up the mountain can't be passable; they're being blocked. Unless there's another path... But Silas Linden still arrived way too quickly. Could he have been somewhere nearby all along?"
It had only been about half an hour since Amelia Lockhart and Ethan Quinn's accident. There was no way someone could hear the news, rush to the foot of the mountain, and then make their way up this quickly.
