Silas Linden's face was terrifyingly grim.
Amelia Lockhart saw it but decided to ignore it. She pulled the blanket Silas had handed her tighter around herself and curled up on the sofa.
Silas Linden rubbed his temples.
Willow Finch stood to the side, a wicked and smug grin on her face. Relying on the Spell she had cast, she winked and teased him. "Why do you think this kid is so stubborn? Insisting on lying in wait for me here. Too bad I'm not a rabbit."
Silas Linden grabbed her, dragged her back to the room, and pinned her against the wall behind the door. His eyes burned as he stared at her. "You think I don't dare? You cast a Spell, so at least Amelia won't hear any... strange noises..."
Willow Finch just smiled, her eyes dancing with flirtatious charm. She even leaned in closer on purpose, her breath as fragrant as an orchid as she spoke. "If that's the case, can *you* manage to stay quiet?"
Silas Linden instantly froze.
