Luna Morgan cracked a smile and draped an arm over Amelia Lockhart's shoulder. She looked at Nina Jacobs with a grin. "Well, well, I was wondering who it was. If it isn't Ms. Jacobs."
Nina Jacobs let out a soft huff. "It's good that you know. If you're not willing to be the female lead, there are plenty of others who are."
Luna Morgan's smile grew even wider. "Spoken like someone who paid her way onto the set. You sound so confident, Ms. Jacobs, you had me thinking Director Sterling himself was speaking! Surely you're aware that the one thing Director Sterling hates most is people meddling in his casting decisions?"
Of course Nina Jacobs knew.
She panicked and glanced around. Fortunately, Director Sterling wasn't there. She breathed a sigh of relief, straightened her spine, and insisted, "But you're the one who said it…"
