The Celestial Emperor's fingers tapped lightly on the Glazed Jade tabletop, his brow tightly furrowed.
After a long moment, his brow slowly relaxed. "I see. I understand."
The Celestial Emperor reached out, about to destroy the game board before him, when he heard Ethan Quinn speak again. "Your Majesty, if you have a moment, why not finish this game? It's quite an exquisite match. It would be a shame to simply destroy it."
"Oh? Since the white pieces are already in a losing position, what shame is there in destroying the game?"
Ethan Quinn looked up at the Celestial Emperor. "A game is a process. Perhaps a new idea might emerge during play. Besides, the game changes based on your opponent's moves. After all, plotting out a game by yourself is just one person's perspective."
The Celestial Emperor pondered for a few seconds, then nodded. "What you say is true, my dear subject. In that case, I shall continue this game with you."
