On January 5th of the new year, after summarizing the recent work at The Hughes Group and clearly outlining several matters that required careful attention, Shalma Hughes led the company's development team to Suthaven. Naturally, Felix Grant was among them. Including Shalma and Felix, the team consisted of only six people. Though small in number, they were among the very best elite of The Hughes Group, a clear testament to how much importance was placed on this trip to Suthaven.
Since Julian Winslow was on a business trip in Kingsport, Shalma had originally planned to text him her itinerary. Yet, when her fingertips touched the screen and she finished typing the message, her hand seemed to develop a mind of its own, refusing to hit send. She remained locked in a stalemate with herself for several minutes before finally giving up and deciding not to send it at all.
