Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: No One Knew She Had a Secret Crush on Someone for 6 Years (2)

That evening, Amanda Thorne took her to a party with her friends.

It was Georgia Thorne's first time wearing such a revealing outfit, and she wasn't used to it at all. She had thrown a track jacket on over it just to feel a little more secure.

When Amanda Thorne saw her, she mocked her for being a country bumpkin.

The party Amanda had brought her to was on a luxurious yacht.

"When we get out of the car, take off that hideous jacket. It's so embarrassing!" Amanda Thorne snapped, looking exasperated as she stepped out of the car in her high heels.

Georgia Thorne looked down, glancing at her dress. It was too revealing.

She had never worn anything like it. The dress was so short; pulling it down revealed her chest, while pulling it up exposed her legs. It was an awkward situation.

On top of that, wearing high heels made her feel like a completely different person.

As soon as they boarded the yacht, Amanda Thorne ditched her, linking arms with a handsome young man and walking away.

That man, Eugene York, even shot her a strange glance. Embarrassed, Georgia Thorne hugged herself and looked away.

There were so many women in revealing clothes, and they all looked like wild party girls.

Georgia Thorne stood alone on the deck, shivering in the sea breeze. To the men watching, she looked especially pitiful.

A few men in the distance seemed to have zeroed in on her and began striding in her direction.

The look in their eyes was full of ill intent.

The man in the lead even reached out, placing a hand on her bare shoulder and asking flippantly, "How much for one night?"

'He thinks I'm an escort.'

Georgia Thorne's temper flared. She slapped away his groping hand. "Don't touch me!"

She despised being touched by men.

Georgia Thorne frowned and turned to leave, but he was faster, grabbing her by the elbow. "You're just some escort. What makes you think you're too good for me to touch?"

The man was much stronger than her; she couldn't break free.

The foul stench of alcohol wafted off him. 'These rich brats are the worst kind of people to cross.'

Suppressing the nausea rising in her stomach, Georgia Thorne said, "I'm sorry, you're mistaken. I'm not an escort. Please let me go."

"Oh? So prickly a moment ago, and now you're all meek? Getting scared, are we?" the man taunted, raising an eyebrow. He didn't loosen his grip on her arm.

"Tell you what," he said, leaning in closer. The smell of alcohol was overpowering. "I'm not a bad guy. Just drink a glass as an apology, and I'll let you go. How about it?"

Georgia Thorne gritted her teeth. 'If I don't agree, he'll never let me go.'

"Fine!"

"That's more like it!" The man's eyebrow twitched as he shot a look at his companion. "Zane, get a glass of wine for this young lady!"

Zane retrieved a glass of red wine and, out of Georgia Thorne's line of sight, sprinkled a white powder into it.

All Georgia Thorne wanted was to get away from them. She snatched the wine glass from the man's hand and downed it in one gulp.

"Excellent! Right to the point!" The man let go of Georgia Thorne and applauded. "You've got guts, Miss. My name is Lin. It's an honor to make your acquaintance!"

Georgia Thorne set the glass down, turned, and hurried away.

Only when she reached a deserted spot did she pat her chest and sigh in relief. 'Thank God he didn't keep harassing me.'
