"Georgia, come here, quick!" Selena Sheridan whispered, beckoning with her hand.
"What's wrong?" Georgia Thorne was still trying to catch her breath, her face flushed scarlet from Elliot Sheridan's teasing. She was terrified Selena would notice something was off.
In truth, Selena had her own problems to deal with; she was in no state to notice Georgia's expression.
"Georgia, have you seen my Second Uncle?"
'Elliot Sheridan!'
Alarm bells immediately went off in Georgia's head. Her eyes flew wide as saucers as she reflexively lied, shaking her head. "No!"
"Really?"
Georgia shook her head rapidly. Fearing Selena didn't believe her, she repeated, "I didn't see him!"
Selena didn't believe her Second Uncle would have left so quickly. Her eyes swept across the living room, but she couldn't find any sign of Elliot.
She frowned, muttering to herself in suspicion, 'Could he have really gone back?'
