'Was I in a car accident?'
'How could I not know?'
Elliot Sheridan went out to meet Owen Sawyer, who told him everything he had uncovered.
The car was a modified junker, unregistered. The license plate was stolen from another vehicle. They eventually found the car by tracking it on surveillance cameras.
It was parked in an abandoned warehouse in the suburbs. There were no fingerprints on the car. The area was desolate, with no people around, let alone any cameras.
As a result, the person who hit Georgia Thorne had vanished without a trace.
Judging by the methods used, whoever did this was a professional. They were experienced, knew how to disappear and erase all traces, leaving the police with no leads.
In other words, all their leads had gone cold.
The situation was extremely difficult. As things stood, they had no idea where to even begin.
"Get me a list of everyone Georgia Thorne has seen in the last month." He planned to investigate them one by one.
"Right away!"
