A man with fluffy black ears atop his head and a swinging, long, black, furry tail burst into the villa with a cold and stern expression.
Holly Wyatt didn't know what was happening; though deaf and mute, she somehow heard the man's disdainful voice at that very moment.
[The cub has grown a little.]
[Still too weak.]
[How did she end up looking like this? So gaunt and scrawny, so unsightly. Standing there, she looks like a telephone pole—the shortest one, at that.]

She rubbed her fingertips together, staring at the tip of the man's tail that curled into a little heart shape, wanting to touch it...

Dressed in a camisole and hot pants, the moment she pulled open the main door, she heard the man's sharp, explosive inner shriek.
[Aaaah! Damn it! Who taught the cub to dress like this?! I was only gone for two years, where is my cub who used to be all bundled up?!]

The Lord of the Wolves had just given the order, and a second later, every wolf in the villa flooded into the kitchen. Were they afraid he was going to toss this Lingzhi into a pot?!


Holly Wyatt stood at the doorway, the corner of her mouth twitching as she stared at all of Silas Thornton's things that had suddenly appeared in her apartment. And just like at the manor, easels were set up everywhere.


'So Silas Thornton had everything prepared well in advance, didn't he?'


'Just waiting for an excuse to move in here?'


She glanced down. Silas Thornton was still wearing the ill-fitting slippers she had bought for him.


Her gaze swept over the man's belongings that now filled the apartment. She wondered why he hadn't just asked Quinn Zeller to buy him a new, properly fitting pair of slippers.
