The weekend.
Holly Wyatt and Gina Gable had arranged to meet at a coffee shop in the mall.
"Gina?" Holly Wyatt nudged the arm of the person beside her. "Gina? What's wrong?"
Gina Gable snapped out of it and shook her head slightly. "I'm fine."
Holly Wyatt looked at the coffee in her friend's hand, which already had three packets of sugar in it, then glanced at the hand that was about to add a fourth.
"What are you thinking about? You're totally spaced out." Holly Wyatt snatched the fourth sugar packet from her hand. "Any more and you'll put yourself in a sugar coma."
Gina Gable stared at the coffee in front of her, her shoulders slumped, and let out a long sigh. "Little Holly, do you believe someone can turn into a kitten?"
"No, wait, it's a Nine-Tailed Fox turning into a person," Gina Gable corrected herself. "That's not right either... Ugh... Anyway... Dottie, he..."
