Intercepted by the white-haired woman's barrier of light, the Demon Dragon Remnant Soul, now a swirling mass of purple-black gas, was seething. It let out a roar, spun around, and prepared to flee in another direction.
Seeing this, the white-haired woman remained perfectly still, acting as if she hadn't even noticed its attempt to escape.
'It's come to this. My chances of escape are minuscule. Those cunning humans deliberately set this trap just to eliminate me.'
'After all, as long as I'm alive, I'm a ticking time bomb hanging over this city.'
'They've been dying to get rid of me, and now that they finally have the chance, they won't let it slip away.'
'Of course, even though I know the situation, there's no way I'll surrender without a fight.'
'Even if it's just a final, desperate struggle, I will struggle.'
