Faye Ford's words immediately drew everyone's attention. A reporter suddenly turned to another and said, "I think I've also heard that Chief Lennox is an amazing golfer. Have you?"
The reporter next to him hadn't heard about this, but not wanting to seem out of the loop, he lied through his teeth. "Of course I have. I heard that when Chief Lennox plays golf, he can get a hole-in-one from any distance."
With one or two people saying so, the others who didn't know quickly claimed they did as well.
Seeing everyone say this and that Jace Lennox had no intention of leaving, Phoebe Faulkner tugged on his arm again. "How's your golf game? Maybe you should just..."
