She grew increasingly bored, so bored she didn't even know what to ask him. Just as she was about to die of boredom, her phone rang. She pulled it out and looked at the screen. The name displayed was, surprisingly—Faye Ford.
'Faye?'
Phoebe Faulkner answered the phone. "Faye, hello."
"Phoebe, I heard that someone flew into a rage for a pretty face and fired the entire design department."
Phoebe Faulkner was speechless.
'Bad news certainly travels fast.'
'Even Faye Ford, whom I've only met once, knows about this.'
"Faye, are you making fun of me?" Phoebe Faulkner asked with a wry smile.
"Hey, Phoebe, you've got me all wrong." Faye Ford's voice, feigning indignation, came through the phone. "It's been years since Jace Lennox has done something so reckless."
