Distracted, she glanced at the work schedule June Jacobs had sent, but she could keenly feel River Walsh's gaze on her from across the table.
"Evelyn, how's work? Are you usually in Kryllos, or do you have to fly all over the place?"
Evelyn Grant put her phone down. "Work is fine. I have to travel wherever the artists' events take me."
River Walsh nodded thoughtfully. "I heard from Dylan that you're living in Kryllos."
"Yes, I'm renting a place here. During my time off, I fly between Solara and Kryllos."
A smile touched his lips, his eyes warm and gentle. He had a way of looking at people that was so tender, it made one want to draw closer. "You're all grown up. You used to be our little shadow, and now you're standing on your own two feet."
At the mention of the past, Dylan shot his sister a look.
"Little tagalong. You were so loud and chatty back then, never giving me a moment's peace. Do you have any idea how many girls you chased away for me?"
