Chapter 4 - What lies beneath

Lilly refused to leave Gitanjali Society.

Not anymore.

This time…

she wasn't running.

She was staying—

to prove that her parents were innocent.

Days passed.

Lilly started observing everything.

People.

Places.

Patterns.

She searched for clues…

for anything that could explain the truth.

But every lead felt incomplete.

Until one day—

she found something.

An old CCTV recording from the society.

Her hands trembled as she played it.

The footage was from the night before her parents' accident.

The screen flickered…

and then—

she saw him.

Ramesh.

Standing near their car.

Looking around…

as if making sure no one was watching.

Lilly froze.

Her heart started racing.

"It was him…"

The next day—

she showed the footage to the society.

And the police.

For the first time…

people had no words.

No accusations.

Only silence.

Ramesh tried to deny it.

But the evidence was clear enough.

He was arrested.

Days later…

during the investigation—

another truth came out.

Ramesh wasn't just involved in the accident.

He had a connection…

to the missing children.

But before everything could be revealed—

he said something.

Something that changed everything.

"You think I did this alone?"

Silence.

Fear.

Confusion.

His eyes slowly moved across the crowd…

and then stopped—

on Lilly.

"This is bigger than you think."

Lilly stood still.

Her proof had exposed one truth.

But it had also opened a door…

to something much darker.

The real game… had just begun.

Days passed after Ramesh's arrest.

For the first time in years…

Gitanjali Society felt a little calmer.

People believed—

the problem was gone.

But they were wrong.

One morning—

the news spread like fire.

Ramesh was dead.

Inside the jail.

No signs of struggle.

No clear cause.

And the most shocking part—

the CCTV cameras captured nothing.

Panic returned.

Stronger than before.

Whispers filled the air.

Fear… slowly turning into belief.

Standing at a distance…

Lilly heard everything.

Her face was calm.

But her eyes—

were filled with determination.

She remembered his words—

"This is bigger than you think."

"If he didn't act alone…"

she whispered,

"then who was helping him?"

Her eyes slowly moved across the society.

Every face.

Every window.

Every closed door.

For the first time—

she wasn't just a victim.

She was searching.

Hunting.

Because somewhere in Gitanjali Society…

the real culprit was still hiding.

And this time—

Lilly was coming for them.

But before Lilly could reveal anything…

she disappeared.

No note.

No trace.

No explanation.

Days passed…

Then weeks....

But Lilly was never found.

Confusion spread across Gitanjali Society.

People spoke in hushed voices.

Avoiding each other's eyes.

As if everyone knew something—

but no one was ready to say it.

Raj paused.

The crowd stood silent… frozen.

Then he spoke slowly—

"…and that… is the Curse of Lilly."

A chill ran through everyone.

No one dared to speak.

"Because whatever this is…"

Raj looked toward Flat No. 52.

"…it didn't end with her."
