Chapter 130 - Chapter 130

Luo He :- "You two are unbelievable."

Neither woman answered.

Luo He :- "I leave for one night and somehow return to political conspiracies involving my own marriage."

Jin Mulan :- "You make everything sound dramatic."

Luo He :- "Because it was dramatic."

Bing still looked like she wanted the floor to open and swallow her whole. Luo He noticed and sighed again before waving one hand dismissively.

Luo He :- "Enough."

Both women immediately looked toward him.

Luo He :- "I'm not punishing either of you."

Bing blinked in visible surprise. Jin Mulan, however, narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

Jin Mulan :- "That easily?"

Luo He looked at her flatly.

Luo He :- "Oh no. You especially are not escaping that easily."

Jin Mulan pointed at herself.

Jin Mulan :- "Me?"

Luo He :- "Yes. You."

Jin Mulan :- "What did I even do?"

Luo He immediately began counting on his fingers.

Luo He :- "You emotionally manipulated your husband, authorized an unauthorized romantic operation, and then stood back to watch the disaster unfold."

Jin Mulan :- "When you say it like that it sounds bad."

Luo He :- "Because it is bad."

For the first time, Bing accidentally let out a tiny laugh. Then immediately covered her mouth in terror.

Luo He pointed at her instantly.

Luo He :- "There. Evidence. Even she knows this is ridiculous."

Jin Mulan looked offended. Then after several long seconds even she started laughing quietly too.

And just like that the unbearable tension finally began to break.

Luo He finally exhaled slowly before rubbing the bridge of his nose in exhaustion.

Luo He :- "Alright. Enough chaos for one morning."

His gaze shifted toward Bing first.

Luo He :- "You may go now, Bing."

Bing immediately lowered herself deeply in relief and gratitude.

Bing :- "Thank you, Master He."

Her voice was still trembling slightly from everything that had happened.

Before leaving, she hesitated briefly and glanced toward Jin Mulan uncertainly.

Jin Mulan gave a small nod telling her to go.

Only then did Bing quietly leave the room, carefully closing the door behind herself.

Silence followed afterward.

Luo He remained seated at the edge of the bed while Jin Mulan stayed standing nearby watching him cautiously, now that the storm had mostly passed.

Then Luo He slowly turned toward her.

Jin Mulan immediately narrowed her eyes slightly.

Because that expression on his face was familiar. Far too familiar. It was the look he always had right before planning something terrible.

Luo He :- "And you."

He pointed toward her lazily.

Luo He :- "You are also free to go, honey."

Jin Mulan folded her arms.

Jin Mulan :- "That sentence sounds suspicious."

Luo He leaned back slightly against the bedframe before smiling faintly.

Luo He :- "But this matter is not yet over."

That honest answer only made her more wary.

Jin Mulan immediately sighed.

Jin Mulan :- "You're still holding onto this?"

Luo He looked genuinely offended.

Luo He :- "Girl. You attempted to outsource romance involving your husband without any prior authorization."

Jin Mulan covered part of her face.

Jin Mulan :- "When you phrase it like that it sounds like a crime."

Luo He :- "Because it was a criminal deed."

Then his smile slowly widened.

Luo He :- "The dangerous kind. So naturally..."

He pointed toward her with complete confidence.

Luo He :- "I now owe you one."

Jin Mulan's expression immediately became cautious again.

Jin Mulan :- "I suddenly dislike where this conversation is going."

Luo He :- "And one way or another…"

He leaned slightly closer afterward.

Luo He :- "Soon a similar experience will be yours to enjoy personally."

Jin Mulan stared at him for several seconds. Then realization slowly appeared across her face.

Jin Mulan :- "You're planning revenge."

Luo He smiled proudly.

Luo He :- "Not revenge."

A small pause followed.

Luo He :- "Educational repayment."

Jin Mulan immediately pointed at him accusingly.

Jin Mulan :- "That is literally revenge with prettier wording."

Luo He :- "Semantics. You can call it what ever you want."

Despite herself a laugh nearly escaped her again.

But she suppressed it quickly while trying to maintain dignity.

Jin Mulan :- "You are impossible."

Luo He :- "And yet you married me willingly on your part."

Jin Mulan walked closer afterward before lightly pushing against his shoulder in annoyance.

Jin Mulan :- "I'm beginning to think that was my greatest mistake."

Luo He immediately grabbed her wrist before she could pull away and gently pulled her down beside him onto the bed again.

Luo He :- "Too late now."

This time she did not resist.

Jin Mulan narrowed her eyes slightly while still sitting close against him.

Jin Mulan :- "All this arguing has made my lips dry."

Before Luo He could answer she suddenly grabbed the front of his robe and pulled him into deep kiss.

This one carried none of the earlier teasing. No schemes. No arguments.

Only raw affection mixed with the lingering excitement from everything that had happened.

Luo He immediately realized something dangerous. His wife was in an unusually good mood.

And that was often far more troublesome for him than when she was angry.

Jin Mulan kissed him deeply with clear determination, one hand holding his collar while the other rested against his chest as though refusing to let him escape.

Luo He laughed quietly between breaths.

Luo He :- "You're suddenly very affectionate."

Jin Mulan :- "Who's fault is that?"

Her crimson eyes looked unusually soft afterward. Because despite all the chaos

watching him handle Bing calmly.

Refusing to abuse his authority, and also protecting everyone involved while still standing firmly by his own feelings.

It affected her more than she expected.

The teasing husband she constantly argued with…

The shameless man who joked about everything…

Could suddenly become frighteningly dependable when it truly mattered.

And unfortunately for Luo He, Jin Mulan found that incredibly attractive.

So the peaceful morning Luo He originally intended to enjoy disappeared completely afterward.

Every time he thought she had calmed down, she dragged him back down again with another kiss, another embrace, or another excuse to keep him beside her.

At one point Luo He even looked toward the window helplessly, as sunlight continued rising higher into the sky.

Luo He :- "Honey… normal people start working at this hour."

Jin Mulan rested atop him without shame.

Jin Mulan :- "You said responsibility was boring."

Luo He immediately regretted his own words being used against him.

Nearly two more hours vanished like that.

By the time Jin Mulan finally allowed him freedom Luo He looked spiritually exhausted.

He sat at the edge of the bed in silence for several seconds before slowly standing.

Jin Mulan watched him calmly from the blankets while looking extremely satisfied with herself.

Luo He pointed at her weakly.

Luo He :- "You are a terrifying woman."

Jin Mulan :- "And yet you like me that way. Too hot for others but just warm enough for you."

Luo He stared at her for a moment before sighing dramatically.

Luo He :- "I need water before I die of dehydration. You nearly drained me of all fluids."

Without even bothering to properly fix his clothes, he finally escaped the room and headed toward the kitchen in search of something to drink.

Meanwhile Jin Mulan remained behind looking entirely too pleased with herself.

The mansion had finally become peaceful again after the chaos. Servants had already begun moving through the halls outside preparing breakfast while distant voices echoed faintly across the mansion.

Luo He leaned one hand against the counter and exhaled slowly after finishing nearly half a pitcher of water by himself.

Jin Mulan :- "Greetings Husband."

He turned his head slowly. Then stared silently for several seconds. Because somehow the woman who had practically imprisoned him in bed for the last two hours, now looked like the perfect image of a noble lady.

Her crimson hair had been brushed smooth until it flowed neatly down her back like polished silk. Not a single strand appeared out of place.

Her robes were elegant and perfectly layered in deep red and white, the embroidery along the sleeves stitched with subtle golden patterns that reflected softly beneath the morning light.

Her posture remained calm. Graceful.

Controlled. Even her expression had returned to its usual composed indifference.

The contrast nearly offended him, as Luo He slowly lowered his cup.

She stepped beside him afterward and calmly poured herself tea as though nothing unusual had happened that morning.

Luo He watched her quietly while leaning against the counter. It truly was ridiculous.

The same woman who earlier clung to him possessively beneath tangled blankets now stood before him looking refined enough to preside over an imperial court.

And somehow both versions were equally dangerous.

Jin Mulan glanced sideways toward him while lifting the tea cup gracefully.

Jin Mulan :- "Why are you staring?"

Luo He immediately answered.

Luo He :- "Nothing in particular. You look really different from a while back."

Jin Mulan took a calm sip of tea first before replying.

Jin Mulan :- "One is for the public."

Her crimson eyes slowly met his afterward.

Jin Mulan :- "The other belongs to my husband alone."

For once Luo He had absolutely no response ready.
