Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Gu He? He's Nothing but a Fart!

When Ya Fei and Gu Ni arrived at Chen Yang's small courtyard, Chen Yang had just finished his Alchemy.

"Great Master Chen Yang!"

"Teacher!"

Chen Yang stretched, looked at the two of them, and nodded, slowly walking towards the stone table under the Jade Willow Tree in the courtyard.

Seeing this, Gu Ni hurried forward, wiped the table and stool clean with his sleeve, and stood respectfully behind Chen Yang, observing the etiquette of a Disciple.

"Sit, sit!"

Chen Yang waved his hand, and Gu Ni and Ya Fei sat down beside him.

"The two wind spirit pills sold for a total of 170,000 gold coins. After deducting the cost of six sets of medicinal ingredients, there are a little over 150,000 gold coins left. This is your 110,000 gold coins, Great Master!"

Ya Fei first settled the account.

"Mhm!"

Chen Yang took the gold card and stuffed it directly into his storage ring. Then, he tossed out two jade bottles.

"Inside this bottle are two qi recovery pills. You can put them up for auction at the Auction House in a couple of days."

"These three are wind spirit pills. Send them to other cities in the Jia Ma Empire!"

Chen Yang said softly.

"This..."

"Teacher, these were... all refined by you in just half a day?"

Gu Ni took the jade bottle in shock. One of the bottles was still slightly warm to the touch, obviously having just come out of the furnace not long ago.

"Just a fluke. With good luck, five sets of ingredients produced five Medicinal Pills!"

Chen Yang smiled. The Alchemy Skill rewarded by the System was truly impressive; there was almost no such thing as a failure rate.

One must know that on the Fighting Qi Continent, even if Venerable Yao, Yao Chen, used his strength as a Grade 8 Alchemist to refine a sixth-grade pill, there was still a chance of failure.

"Teacher is truly remarkable!" Gu Ni praised. Chen Yang's Alchemy Skill, not to mention among his peers, would likely be far ahead even among those old fogies.

"In the future, Mr. Chen Yang will likely be able to step into that Sixth-Rank realm and become a figure comparable to Pill King Gu He, right?" Ya Fei's beautiful eyes stared at Chen Yang's face as she praised softly.

"Pill King Gu He?"

"He's nothing but a fart!"

"That fellow wouldn't even qualify to be an alchemy apprentice in my sect!"

If you're going to act cool, you have to do it smoothly.

"Sixth-Rank? Not even qualified to be an alchemy apprentice?"

Although Ya Fei and Gu Ni didn't know what an alchemy apprentice was, they could still understand the word "apprentice."

"That's right. This Gu He person—the Elder also mentioned him when sending me to the Jia Ma Empire. He's so old and yet only a Sixth-Rank Alchemist!"

"However, within this Jia Ma Empire, without a High Grade Alchemist Legacy, the fact that he could grope his way to the Sixth-Rank means he has some talent!"

Although Gu He was weak in his eyes, he had to admit that Gu He was a talented individual.

"Mhm..."

Gu Ni and Ya Fei both nodded, accepting Chen Yang's statement.

However, their hearts could not remain calm. Chen Yang's background was indeed terrifyingly powerful; he didn't even care about a Sixth-Rank Alchemist. This time, they had truly latched onto a powerful supporter.

"By the way, Great Master Chen Yang, there's something I need to tell you..."

Ya Fei came back to her senses and explained Xiao Zhan's recent request and the matter concerning Xiao Yan.

"An eleven-year-old Dou Practitioner?"

"This talent would be considered a Genius even in the Central Plains!"

"Tsk tsk, I didn't expect to encounter such a Genius in this Northwest Region!"

Chen Yang started acting cool again.

"Is Great Master Chen Yang interested in this Xiao Yan?"

Ya Fei poured a cup of tea for Chen Yang and asked softly.

"I want to see what caused this kid's Dou Qi Cyclone to suddenly dissipate, leaving him stuck at the Third Stage Dou Qi for three years!"

"By the way, you mentioned that Xiao Zhan said the Xiao Family held another test today?"

Chen Yang nodded. After admitting his interest in Xiao Yan, he suddenly asked.

"Yes. Counting the days, that Xiao Yan of the Xiao Family is fifteen years old this year!"

Ya Fei said softly.

"Mhm..."

Chen Yang nodded, picked up the teacup and took a sip, roughly understanding the situation.

It turned out he had happened to catch the start of the story.

So tomorrow would be the classic scene of Battle Through the Heavens—the engagement annulment?

Thinking of this, Chen Yang smiled slightly, put down his teacup and looked at Ya Fei: "Miss Ya Fei, please send someone to inform Xiao Zhan. Tomorrow morning, we'll go to the Xiao Family to join the fun."

Ya Fei nodded. She was able to manage a city's Auction House as a woman with a cultivation level not even reaching Dou Practitioner because she was ten times smarter than others.

Since Chen Yang didn't state the reason, she naturally wouldn't ask; she would just follow orders.
