Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Escape

The Escape

The cold metal of the handcuffs bit into Aryan's wrists. The rain outside hadn't stopped; if anything, it had turned into a chaotic storm. Aryan sat in the back of the police van, flanked by two armed officers. Across from him sat Inspector Rana, a man whose eyes were as sharp as a hawk's.

"I didn't kill him, Inspector," Aryan said, his voice trembling but firm. "I was set up. Someone hacked my life."

Inspector Rana didn't even flinch. "The gun was in your hand, Aryan. The body was warm. In my world, that's called 'caught red-handed'."

Suddenly, the Inspector's phone buzzed. He frowned, looking at the screen. It was an unknown number. He picked up, and for a split second, the van's cabin light flickered.

A distorted, digital voice—the same one from the warehouse—screamed through the phone: "Level 2: Chaos Initiated!"

Before anyone could react, a massive truck slammed into the side of the police van. The world spun. Metal screeched against metal. Glass shattered into a million diamonds. The van flipped twice and skidded across the wet asphalt before coming to a violent halt.

Silence followed, broken only by the hiss of the engine and the distant sound of thunder.

Aryan groaned, his head hitting the floor. He looked up. The officers were unconscious, slumped over. The back door of the van had been ripped partially open from the impact. This was it.

The Last Chance.

Aryan struggled to his feet, his ribs aching. He found the keys on the floor near the unconscious Inspector and fumbled with the cuffs. Click. They fell off.

He stepped out into the pouring rain, the cold wind hitting his face. He was a fugitive now. But as he looked at the wreckage, he saw something tucked into the wiper of the overturned van—a small, black envelope with his name on it.

Inside was a single note: "Run, Aryan. The game has just begun. 71 hours left."

The sirens in the distance were getting louder. He had to disappear.
