As he spoke, his eyes scanned the room.
He wanted to see if the two of them had saved him any food.
But after searching for a long time, he couldn't find any leftovers.
In disbelief, he surveyed the room again, then ran to the kitchen, looking left and right!
He finally had to admit that there was truly nothing left. The two of them hadn't saved him a single bite.
He emerged from the kitchen. "You two seriously didn't save me anything? Did you hide it?"
Hearing this, Stella Sterling cleared her throat. "We finished it all. Sorry about that!"
Initially, she had planned to save him a little so he could have a taste.
But as she ate, she got carried away. It had been so long since she'd had anything this delicious that she completely forgot about saving some for Basil Xavier.
At her words, Basil Xavier looked up and sighed. "You two are just the worst."
Then he shot Stella Sterling a resentful glare.
In the end, however, he didn't say anything more.
