Chapter 7 - The Cave and the Bead

— The Cave and the Bead

Not far from where Nahil lay unconscious, within another region of the Rafom Forest, a small group moved swiftly yet silently.

At the front—

A girl.

Her presence stood apart from everything around her.

She wore a light, flowing robe of pale blue, its edges faintly shimmering like frost. Her long silver-white hair fell straight down her back, moving gently with each step. Her skin was flawless, almost too pale, and her expression carried a natural coldness.

Yet within that coldness—

There was calm.

And hidden deep beneath—

A trace of quiet gentleness.

Her eyes were clear and icy, reflecting neither fear nor hesitation.

She was Princess Imaria Klowen.

Behind her walked a young woman.

Equally beautiful, yet softer in appearance.

Her name was Clory Falso.

She followed closely, her gaze constantly scanning the surroundings.

Further behind stood a man.

Silent.

Sharp.

His presence was restrained, yet heavy.

An early stage Void Refinement cultivator.

A protector.

Clory spoke as they moved.

"Princess, after investigation and gathering information from hunters, we have confirmed that the Alrom herb is located in a cave occupied by a four-tail fox beast."

Imaria did not stop walking.

Her voice was calm.

Cold.

"What is its grade? What is it called?"

Clory answered immediately.

"Peak level Grade 1."

"It is known as the Slorobaj Beast—a fox-type beast with fire attributes."

She paused briefly.

"The herb you seek will most likely be inside its cave."

"And…"

She added quietly,

"It is also a good opportunity for you to gain experience."

Imaria's expression did not change.

"Let us hope we reach it before the beast consumes it."

The protector spoke for the first time.

"Princess, do not worry. If anything happens, I will step in."

He closed his eyes briefly.

Using divine sense.

"I can feel it."

"A recent battle took place."

"The beast is injured."

Imaria gave a slight nod.

"Then we move."

Their pace increased.

Deep within the forest—

Hidden from the outside world—

The cave remained silent.

Dark.

Cold.

Inside—

A body lay motionless.

Nahil Dragsen.

His clothes were torn.

His body was covered in wounds.

No movement.

No response.

Unconscious.

Not far from him—

The four-tail fox beast rested.

Its breathing was heavy.

Its body still carried signs of injury.

Near it—

Two small fox cubs stirred.

They moved weakly.

Slowly.

Toward their mother.

Hungry.

The slight movement disturbed the silence.

The beast opened its eyes.

Tired.

But alert.

It slowly lifted its head and moved toward the cubs.

Carefully.

Gently.

It lowered itself, allowing them to feed.

For a moment—

The cave held a strange peace.

A dangerous beast—

And a quiet, almost fragile scene.

But within another space—

Deep.

Hidden.

Untouched—

Inside Nahil's consciousness—

Something awakened.

Darkness.

Endless.

Silent.

Then—

Light.

A small object floated in that void.

A bead.

Round.

Smooth.

With red and golden lines faintly moving across its surface.

It looked simple—

Yet ancient.

Its presence alone caused the darkness to tremble.

Light spread slowly.

The void began to crack.

The bead pulsed.

Once.

Twice.

Then—

It began to absorb.

Energy.

From everywhere.

From Nahil's body.

From the surrounding space.

From the faint fire Qi lingering in the cave.

And then—

It sensed something.

The presence of the Alrom herb.

Fire-type energy.

Pure.

Refined.

The bead responded.

It drew in traces of that energy.

Slowly.

Silently.

Back in reality—

Nahil's body reacted.

The wounds on his skin began to close.

Blood dried.

Broken flesh repaired.

The process was slow—

But steady.

Controlled.

The fire Qi merged with the bead's energy.

Circulating through his body.

Healing.

Restoring.

Yet—

Despite all of this—

Nahil remained unconscious.

Unaware of everything happening within him.

Unaware of the power awakening.

Unaware—

That not far from the cave entrance—

Footsteps were approaching.

Closer.

With each passing moment—

The distance shortened.

And soon—

Two paths would cross.

Inside the same cave.

At the same time.
