Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: First Mission

Yassin woke up earlier than usual, his eyes opening before the alarm could even ring, his mind already awake, already active, as if it refused to waste a single second of this new life he had been given, for a brief moment he stared at the ceiling, letting everything settle in his thoughts, the accident, the voice, the system, the mission, all of it was real, and all of it was now part of his reality, he slowly sat up, exhaling deeply as a faint blue light appeared once again in front of his eyes, the familiar screen forming instantly, [Active Mission: Achieve the highest score in the upcoming exam], the words were clear, sharp, leaving no room for doubt, this was his first real step, his first real test, and failure was not an option, his jaw tightened slightly as the next lines appeared, [Reward: Intelligence +2 | Focus +2 | Confidence +1], followed by the one line he could never ignore, [Failure: Permanent Loss], his heartbeat quickened, not out of fear, but out of awareness, the stakes were absolute, there was no safety net, no retry, no second chance, this was everything, he got out of bed immediately, his movements precise and controlled, as if he had already begun transforming into a different person, someone sharper, someone more disciplined, someone who understood the value of time, as he got ready and headed to school, the world around him felt different again, every detail seemed clearer, every sound more noticeable, every moment more meaningful, it was as if the system had already begun sharpening his senses, preparing him for what was to come, when he entered the classroom, the usual noise greeted him, but this time he didn't hesitate, he walked straight to his seat, his mind already focused on what mattered, formulas, logic, patterns, everything he needed to succeed, Hajar glanced at him again, her eyes filled with curiosity, noticing the change in his behavior, but before she could say anything, the teacher entered and immediately began the lesson, writing complex formulas on the board, explaining concepts that had once seemed impossible for Yassin to understand, but now, things were different, as he listened, something clicked inside his mind, the information felt clearer, easier to process, as if his brain was finally catching up, finally working the way it was supposed to, his pen moved quickly across the page, capturing every detail, every step, every explanation, fully focused, completely absorbed, and then, the moment arrived, the teacher turned around and announced a surprise exercise, something that would test their understanding on the spot, a challenge that had crushed Yassin in his past life, his heart beat faster as the problem was written on the board, but instead of fear, he felt something else, anticipation, he looked at the question carefully, breaking it down step by step, his thoughts flowing smoothly, logically, his hand moving almost instinctively as he began solving it, ignoring everything around him, ignoring the whispers, ignoring the pressure, focusing only on the solution, across the room, Karim noticed immediately, his expression shifting slightly as he watched Yassin work with an unusual level of confidence, something that didn't match the person he used to know, the seconds passed, then minutes, until finally, Yassin stopped, placing his pen down slowly, his answer complete, precise, correct, the teacher walked between the desks, checking the results, and when he reached Yassin, he paused, his eyes narrowing slightly as he read the solution, surprise flickering across his face, "…Perfect," he said quietly, but loud enough for nearby students to hear, and instantly, the atmosphere shifted, whispers spreading again, disbelief growing stronger, Karim's gaze hardened, no longer amused, but serious, calculating, Yassin leaned back slightly, exhaling as a faint notification appeared in his vision, [Progress Updated: 30%], a small but undeniable sign that he was moving in the right direction, a small victory in a much larger game, his eyes focused forward, calm but determined, this was only the beginning, the first mission had started, and he was already proving that things would be different this time, that he would be different, stronger, smarter, more focused, and as that thought settled deep within him, one thing became absolutely clear—he was no longer the same Yassin, and from this moment on, everything… would change.
