Kaya had been kind enough to donate part of the stone wall behind her mansion. Well, he hadn't asked her to... She'd just run off... Literally. Anyway, it was a mess. She probably wouldn't miss it. Well, later she used the stone to make some weights. The stone was solid, so they were nice and heavy, just the way he liked them. Kaya had some nice walls.
"Stop staring at those atrocities you call weights, musclehead. It's weird," Nami said as she passed the green-haired boy while going up the stairs.
The verdet frowned, but bit his tongue and followed the navigator to where his future captain was shouting with excitement. Well... HIS future captain... For now.
"Luffy, what the hell are you talking about?" the girl asked as she reached the top of the stairs.
The boy in the straw hat jumped onto the sheep figurehead he loved so much and pointed towards the sea. "Look over there!" he said excitedly. "It's a giant fish!"
"We just wanted to thank the chef who prepared our meal," said the elegantly dressed gentleman to the figure standing at the table.
The woman in front of him nodded. "Yes! It was so delicious I thought my soul would melt!" she exclaimed.
The person they were speaking to was an eighteen-year-old. He was a slim, muscular young man with long legs and blond hair swept to the left side of his face. Above his right eye, a dark gray, was a very distinctive eyebrow that spiraled clockwise. He wore a double-breasted black suit with gold buttons, a matching tie, and a long-sleeved blue button-down shirt. All of this made him a very handsome young man. To the surprise of the two customers, he was the sous-chef of the restaurant they were in: the Baratie.
The blond man had worked at the restaurant almost his entire life, and had been cooking there even before. He had a relationship with the head chef, and that's how he ended up working there so young. He wasn't always as good a cook as he is now, but he had learned a lot over the years and was a great help in opening the restaurant.
Now he was a sous-chef and got to cook for beautiful women every day. The teenager smiled to himself as he pictured her blond hair, the same color as his own, flashing through his mind. The feeling of a woman praising his cooking would never change. It always felt the same as the first time...
Marvelous.
"It was a pleasure, ma'am," the chef said gently. He extended his hand to the woman, and she instinctively took it. The blond chef removed the cigarette from his mouth and leaned in to kiss her knuckle. "It's a gift from the world... to be able to serve a woman as beautiful as you," he said, gently releasing her hand and placing the cigarette back in his mouth. Then he gave her his best smile: "Please, come see me again sometime."
The man at the table stood up abruptly, his chair scraping as it hit the floor, and pointed an accusing finger at the chef: "Don't you dare try to speak to him like that... "
"SIT DOWN, SIR!" the blond teenager shouted. She glared at him, and the man stumbled back in his seat. "Nobody tells me how to talk to a woman." He turned to the beautiful lady and winked at her, which made her blush, looking down at her lap. Turning her head back to the man and glaring at him, she asked, "Do you want to know why?"
The man simply nodded.
The chef stepped away from the table and walked to the open space in front of the entrance. "It's because I will only speak to women with the absolute love and respect they deserve." He stopped, and the light from the skylight illuminated him perfectly. Suddenly, he glowed with an ethereal radiance, and all the women in the restaurant were captivated.
The chef turned to face the crowd, the light perfectly framing his single visible eye, with a curved eyebrow just above it. He flashed a mischievous smile at the room. "My name is Sanji," the blond paused, then dramatically gestured to each of the women he saw. "And I adore Miss..."
A loud crash interrupted the furrowed brow of the teenager; the entire restaurant gasped as two arguing teenagers trying to get into the restaurant blew the front door of their henge off its hinges.
"MEAT!" Luffy shouted as he and Zoro clutched their heads.
"ALCOHOL!" shouted the swordsman, banging his forehead against that of the boy in the straw hat.
Nami cautiously followed the two idiots through the now wrecked restaurant entrance. As she stepped inside, she took in the extent of the damage. How on earth had they done this?... She shook her head in exasperation. However they did it, she wasn't going to pay for it.
"We're spending what little money I have left on what I want!" Zoro shouted in his friend's face. Neither of them noticed the person lying beneath the doors they had broken down.
A bead of sweat trickled down Nami's cheek. They literally had meat and alcohol on the ship…
"I'm the captain! You have to listen to me!" Luffy replied. He wanted meat!
"You're not the captain yet! You idiot!" shouted the swordsman with shark teeth.
"Shut up, both of you!" Sanji yelled furiously from under the smashed door. Damn bastards... And just when I was about to make a good impression on all the girls! He frowned to himself as he kicked the door in fury. It flew off and crashed through the ceiling with a clatter, but Sanji didn't care at the moment. He stood up, brushed the dust off his suit, and reached into his pocket for a fresh cigarette. He put it between his lips and lit it as he walked toward the two guys causing a ruckus in his restaurant. Zeff was going to be pissed about the door. His eyes flicked up to the ceiling... "Shit . "
Zoro and Luffy stopped shouting when the blond boy approached. They looked at each other before freeing themselves from his neck and straightening up to face the angry boy.
"Where the hell did you two come from to wreck the restaurant?!" Sanji shouted as he walked straight towards them.
Zoro and Luffy looked at each other in silence before pointing their fingers at one another. "It was his fault," they said in perfect unison.
A checkmark appeared over Sanji's eye, "I don't care who it was! I asked, where did you get busti-?"
"Excuse me," Nami said over Zoro and Luffy's shoulders. She put on her most endearing face and continued, "We're so sorry about the door. Could you please forgive us? Just this once?" She finished by sticking her tongue out and winking at the blond teenager.
