Jason could hear their voices despite remaining inside the forest.
'Other Ogres can talk as well. Good to know.'
He crouched slightly behind a thick trunk and peered through the gaps between branches.
The Hawk's Eye Skill and high Perception allowed him to see the village despite remaining far enough not to be noticed.
'Smaller than expected.' Jason noted. 'Now that I think about it, this is my first introduction to monster society. In fact, it might be the first time ever that someone gets to see this.'
Humans only see Monsters inside Dungeon Gates or during Dungeon Breaks after all. Not much is known about the way they operate or live. The biology of certain Monsters has been studied exhaustively though, as their corpses remain on Earth after a Dungeon Break.
The village was just outside the forest on a plain with no trees. It bordered a tall cliff on the other side. At the base of that cliff was a wide cave through which Jason could see Ogres coming in and out.
'They only have a dozen huts or so.' Jason raised an eyebrow. 'I guess the huts are for the stronger warriors, while the rest sleep in that cave.'
Smoke rose from various points in the village.
'They're cooking. That's surprising.'
Jason scratched his chin.
'I can only see male Ogres. Do they not have females?' He asked himself. 'I didn't see any females in that Dungeon, and it's pretty rare for a Dungeon Break or Dungeon in general to contain specimens of both sexes. Usually, it's either all males or all females, depending on the specific Species' warrior sex.'
For Ogres and Orcs, it was males.
For Insect-Type Monsters, it was usually females.
'Hm…'
What was strange though was that they carried baskets filled with fruits and other types of food. Others hauled large cuts of meat.
'Are they having a feast or something?'
Jason assumed that, not only did the weaker Ogres sleep in the cave, but they were also tasked with making food for the stronger Ogres.
This was partially true.
'I can count thirty of them running around, give or take.'
Jason decided to get closer.
Close enough for a couple of Ogres to notice him.
'Well?' Jason waited for their reaction.
They simply stared for a second, then continued on with their respective tasks.
'I don't sense any hostility.' Jason nodded and started walking closer. 'The arrow is making it clear that I need to reach the center of the village to get my Rewards, so…'
He walked further into the clearing.
The scent of cooked meat tickled his nostrils.
'Would be nice to get something to eat other than Cores.' They were, for the most part, crunchy but tasteless.
Jason's gaze drifted toward the center of the village.
A couple of meters away from the center stood a tent much larger than the huts.
'Hm.' Even when standing next to the huts and among the other Ogres, none of them paid any attention to him. 'Guess I'll go get my Rewards.'
Jason walked past another hut, and the center of the village came into view.
There stood a large flat table fashioned from thick tree bark and supported by carved stumps.
'So I guess the strongest warriors are already sitting…'
Jason's thoughts trailed off as he noticed that the strongest warriors were completely different from the others.
'The women are sitting?' The Modified Ogre pursed his lips and closed his eyes in an attempt not to laugh. 'Whipped Ogres. I didn't take them to be such simps.' Jason massaged his forehead to calm himself. 'I guess when the ratio is this bad, you have to simp to get some action-'
"You there."
Jason gulped.
One of the female Ogres was pointing at him, and the rest quickly turned in his direction.
"I don't recognize you." The black-haired female Ogre said.
Jason almost wanted to answer that he was new here, but as the rest of the females, still seated, turned in his direction, he found his mind started to wander. So did his gaze.
Their clothes were simple, made of hides and leather straps that covered only what was necessary. Almost covered what was necessary.
Each and every one of them showcased the most exquisite cleavage, and while the sizes varied, none of them was lacking.
Seeing them seated, Jason could also clearly see how wide their hips were, and he couldn't wait for one of them to stand so that he could see the delicate curves of their-
'No, no.' Jason shook his head. 'Now's not the time to think with my dick.' He thought, but his dick had other ideas. He could already feel it starting to react.
While Jason felt slightly weird about it, these were female Ogres, and he was an Ogre, so there was nothing too weird about it, really.
'Except green skin, muscles, and height for days.'
The first part was the only real problem.
The second wasn't a problem as the female Ogres varied in muscularity. While some of them were too muscular for him, most hit the sweet spot.
The third was a good thing, really.
Gulp-
Jason always loved tall women, especially when they had a big and nice ass to boot.
The female Ogres had been discussing amongst themselves, something completely lost on Jason.
"Oh, I remember him." One of them said, catching Jason's attention. "Pretty sure we lost him in that Orc battle a couple of weeks ago."
"Did we now?" The black-haired Ogre that had noticed him initially had an amused tone, and seemingly no fear for his safety. "So not only did you survive by yourself, but you also found your way back to us."
Jason stared at her silently. The necklaces of fangs, bones, and carved stones around her neck were quite ominous. None of the others had any, whether female or male.
"Come here," She tapped the trunk by her side. "Sit with me and tell me what happened to you."
Jason tilted his head and took three steps closer before stopping.
"I…"
[The Ogre Village is currently 0 meters away.]
[Destination has been reached!]
"Can't remember." Jason answered.
[Congratulations!]
[You have Cleared the Quest "Homecoming"!]
Something in her eyes changed suddenly.
"I said…"
She was staring dead at him, smiling too, yet something in her eyes was almost enough to send a shiver down Jason's spine.
"Sit."
Jason took a deep breath.
'One way or another, this girl is trouble.'

"I'd rather not." Jason answered.
Whispers and mutters caused him to frown.
Before Jason realized it, the male Ogres had stopped working.
They stood around him and the table of female Ogres.
The ones closest to Jason whispered to him.
"Go."
"Just go already."
"Don't make the Chief repeat herself, you know what happens when she gets in a bad mood!"
Jason raised an eyebrow and his gaze went back to the black-haired female Ogre.
'The Chief?' He thought. 'I guess that explains those necklaces.'
Now that the male Ogres were standing closer, Jason noticed the numerous bruises over their cheeks, arms, and legs.
"Ha." The female Ogre Chief slammed her hand down on the table. "I guess you forgot how things work around here."
"Go easy on him."
"Yeah, he's pretty cute."
The Chief ignored the rest of the female Ogres and stood up.
She walked closer with confident steps, only stopping once she was inches away from Jason.
"Do you need me…" She whispered, staring him dead in the eyes. "To remind you?"
Shocked, Jason could only remain silent.
He needed to raise his chin to meet her gaze. The Chief was a full head taller than him!
'System…'
Gulp-
'I might be in trouble.'
