Chapter 193 - Azmuth, the Perverted Little Frog

Chapter 193: Azmuth, the Perverted Little Frog

"Damn it..."

Alpha Vilgax spat out a mouthful of dirt, his massive frame trembling violently as he struggled to push himself up from the cracked pavement. Dust cascaded from his battered armor. He craned his neck, staring up at the towering, imposing figure of the alternate Vilgax standing over him. A bitter, suffocating weight of powerlessness crushed his pride.

Before the finishing blow could land, a shadow fell over the battlefield. A colossal warship breached the clouds, projecting a blinding red teleportation beam directly onto Alpha Vilgax. In a flash of crimson light, the defeated warlord vanished into the sky.

"Should we go after him?" Vilgax cracked his knuckles, glancing sideways at Klein.

Klein casually waved a hand, his expression entirely unbothered. "No rush. Besides, it looks like our welcoming committee has arrived."

Vilgax and Paradox followed Klein's gaze. Hovering a few feet off the ground on a sleek, disc-shaped transport was a tiny, green, frog-like alien—Azmuth.

With the Vilgax brothers' invasion finally halted, the deep scars across Galvan Prime were already being tended to. Plumes of smoke still drifted from shattered spires, but swarms of repair drones and Galvan workers were actively mending the damaged cityscapes.

Azmuth gestured for Klein and the others to follow him toward a towering central facility. It wasn't a long walk. In fact, the building was only a few blocks away. Yet, their progress moved at an agonizingly glacial pace.

The reason?

"Hey there, gorgeous," Azmuth purred, leaning over his hoverboard with a shamelessly lecherous grin. He winked at a heavily armed female Galvan soldier. "Care to discuss the complex science of biological reproduction with Azmuth, the absolute smartest being in the entire universe?"

The soldier's face twisted in deep disgust. "Absolutely not! Lord Azmuth, please, have some dignity!" She shoved the tiny old pervert away, her rifle clattering against her armor.

Before Azmuth could try another pickup line, a younger female Galvan stomped over, her face flushed with irritation. She leaped up and delivered a sharp, ringing punch directly to the top of Azmuth's oversized head.

"You perverted old geezer!" she snapped, rubbing her knuckles. "Move it! Everyone is waiting for you!"

A taller alien walking alongside them sighed, rubbing her temples. "That's just how Azmuth is. Try not to let it bother you," she explained to Klein's group. She offered a polite nod. "I am Mariat. That hot-tempered Galvan over there is Albedo. We serve as Azmuth's assistants."

Klein politely shook Mariat's hand. Beside him, Paradox leaned in, a highly amused smirk playing on his lips. "So, the Azmuth of this universe is a shameless letch, hm? Do you think we should record this and bring it back to show our Azmuth?"

Klein's eyes glinted with mischief. "Brilliant idea."

Without missing a beat, he slipped a miniature holographic recorder from his pocket, discreetly angling the lens to capture Azmuth aggressively hitting on another passing female civilian.

It was worth noting that while Azmuth possessed zero shame when it came to flirting with the local Galvan women, he never once directed his perverted antics toward Albedo—despite her being widely considered a beauty among their species. She wasn't just his assistant; she was his prized student. Even an old lecher had a bottom line.

A short while later, the group finally arrived inside a sprawling laboratory at the top of the tower.

Azmuth hopped down from his hoverboard, clasping his hands behind his back. He suddenly adopted the dignified, deep aura of a supreme intellect. "You lot are from another universe, aren't you?"

He had deduced it the second he laid eyes on Vilgax. The Vilgax brothers of this universe were simply too weak to match the sheer, imposing presence of the conqueror standing before him.

Klein and Paradox didn't even blink. Azmuth was the smartest being in five galaxies; pervert or not, his brain still worked flawlessly. Max Tennyson and Mariat, however, stared in open shock. Albedo merely crossed her arms, looking smug. As a genius second only to Azmuth, she had figured out their otherworldly origins hours ago.

"Wait, so this guy really is Vilgax?" Max stared at the towering squid-faced alien, his grip tightening instinctively. "Are you absolutely sure he isn't a villain?"

Vilgax scoffed, crossing his massive arms indignantly. "Watch your mouth, old man! I, Vilgax, have always been a paragon of justice and a righteous companion!"

Vilgax mentally cursed. No matter which universe he visited, anyone named Tennyson was a massive headache.

"Now that is a fascinating anomaly," Azmuth mused, stroking his chin. "In your universe, Vilgax is actually a force for good."

Here, the Vilgax brothers were universally despised tyrants. Hearing Azmuth's words, Vilgax's mouth twitched. Could he admit he wasn't exactly a saint back home? No, that would ruin the fun. Azmuth neither knew nor cared about Vilgax's internal conflict.

As for Paradox, Azmuth barely reacted to the revelation of his time-traveling nature. Time travel was just another equation; Azmuth could achieve the same results with a few technological tweaks. What truly captured the Galvan's attention was Klein—or rather, the Another Omnitrix strapped to his wrist.

"Ah, so my counterpart in your universe successfully completed it," Azmuth muttered, his eyes gleaming with scientific fervor. "Whatever he calls it over there, my version is named the Chaquetrix. I designed it specifically to promote cross-species reproduction and genetic harmony across the cosmos. Unfortunately, it hasn't been fully realized yet."

Azmuth sighed, his shoulders slumping. "A crucial component was snatched by Beta Vilgax during the invasion."

Then, his gaze snapped back to Klein, a calculating, slightly sleazy light returning to his eyes. "Say, young man... you must be quite popular with the females of your species, yes? How about letting me borrow a sample of your DNA to integrate into the Chaquetrix I'm developing?"

"Uh... hard pass."

Klein didn't even hesitate. A device designed to summon alien women for 'reproduction'? That sounded like an absolute headache waiting to happen.

Seeing the flat rejection, Azmuth didn't push his luck. He knew better than to force the issue. "Fine, fine. Albedo, Mariat, take our guests on a tour of Galvan Prime. I have... pressing matters to attend to."

Azmuth practically shoved them toward the door, his demeanor suddenly frantic. The group assumed he had been struck by a sudden burst of scientific inspiration and left him to his devices.

The heavy laboratory doors hissed shut. The second Azmuth was entirely alone in the room, he let out a heavy breath and immediately began unbuckling his tunic.

"No time to waste," he muttered, pulling out a glossy, hidden photograph. "This picture won't appreciate itself."

Outside, the group split up. Mariat, bizarrely enough, took Vilgax out for a shopping trip. Max dragged Paradox along for a sightseeing tour of the alien architecture.

That left Albedo to escort Klein through the active repair zones of the city.

Galvan construction crews buzzed around them, using anti-gravity beams and high-tech projectors to rebuild shattered structures. Albedo walked ahead, pointing out various landmarks.

"Look, over there. That's the academy. I graduated from there." She pointed to a massive pile of scorched rubble. "And that used to be the grand library. I spent most of my free time there when I wasn't running experiments. It's a shame it got bombed... but thankfully, our archives are entirely digital, so the knowledge isn't lost."

She continued walking, gesturing toward another ruined plaza. "And over there, that's..."

To Klein, the debris was nothing more than pebbles. But for the tiny Galvan, handling the wreckage was an exhausting obstacle course. She had to scramble, jump, and climb over jagged chunks of masonry just to keep.

As Albedo grunted, preparing to scale yet another massive slab of concrete, a shadow fell over her. Klein reached down, gently scooping her up, and placed her comfortably in the center of his broad palm. He lifted her to his chest level.

Albedo froze, her large eyes blinking in absolute stun.

Klein offered a lazy, amused smile. "How's the view from up here? Much easier on the legs, right?"

A furious red flush spread across Albedo's green cheeks. She immediately ducked her head, suddenly finding her own boots fascinating. "Why... why are you suddenly acting so gentle...?" she stammered, her voice dropping to a flustered squeak.

'Heh. Still just a pure little frog.'

Klein found her reaction highly entertaining, though he didn't tease her any further, simply carrying her as they continued the tour into the evening.

Night fell over Galvan Prime. Under Azmuth's hospitality, the group gathered for a lavish, high-tech dinner.

Once the plates were cleared, the old Galvan's demeanor shifted. The perverted, eccentric old man vanished, replaced by a deadly serious scientist. He looked directly at Klein.

"Young man, can you do me a favor?"

"Oh?" Klein leaned back, slightly surprised by the sudden shift in tone. "Let's hear it."

Azmuth's eyes narrowed. "I had an important part stolen by the Vilgax brothers, and I need you to help me steal it back."
