'What????!!!' Draxus screamed internally and felt like pulling his hairs.
'I had the thought but wanted to skip it. It really wants me to eat a world in ten years?'
{As long as you follow my guidelines and work very hard it is very much possible}
Hearing the emotionless mechanical voice of the system calmed him down somewhat and he asked 'If I don't complete the task before the time limit am I really going to die?'
{The system was gifted to the host as his second chance in life. The main task was issued by the creators of the system and the therefore the penalty will be put to place if host fails the main task as he will be deemed useless}
Draxus stared at his reflection on the surface of the water while wondering. 'ten years isn't enough for me to become an archmage even if I awakened magic now and started training.'
'I will just check the remaining quests if they're as ridiculous as this.' he thought then tapped the quests tab in the upper right corner.
{Welcome to the quests section, there are different types of quests based on their difficulty and rewards}
'Different types?'
{Daily quests are issued daily and are the best for the host right now. Weekly and monthly quests are issued weekly and monthly, there is no penalty for failing these quests but I recommend the host complete them}
'Fairs, are these quests also sent by the creator of the system?' Draxus asked.
{Only the main Questline is issued by the creator of the system, everything else is handled by me, I recommend we get along together and you complete the quests I issue for mutual benefit} the system replied.
Draxus eyes were twitching hard as he thought 'Is this system blackmailing me?'
{If you consider it as such then yes}
Draxus looked at his reflection in the water and remembered everything that happened to him and how his father and brother died, how he got framed for killing Professor Adrian.
'Even if you didn't say it I won't miss out on anything that would make me stronger, I'm sick of getting trampled on.'
Tapping the quests tab, he saw a new panel.

Tapping the main Questline he saw the same thing the red icon showed him earlier.

Draven took in a deep breath to console himself 'We can do this, it's not that hard'
He tapped the exit button then the daily quests and another panel appeared before him.
{Daily Quests:
1. Run 50 meters
Reward: 10 exp
2. Complete 5 successful hunts
Reward: 10 exp
3. Use swipe 50 times
Reward: 10 exp}
Draxus looked at the quests with a puzzled face. 'Isn't it called a world devouring system? Why is it filled with a wolf's daily habits and how is this supposed to make me stronger?'
He decided to forget it and tapped on the weekly Quests section.

1. Become the Alpha of a wolf pack.
Rewards: 100 exp
2. Own your territory in the dark forest.
Rewards: 100 exp}
'Becoming an alpha and owning a Territory in the dark forest in a week?' Draxus thought with his eyes twitching. The dark forest might not be one of the most dangerous places in the Tenebris Empire but it was filled with dangerous magical beasts, more than his current frail body could endure and contest for a Territory with.
{You cry too much host, how about you complete today's task first and if you grumble so much for weekly tasks I might as well not show you the monthly tasks yet}
'What's with this 'system'? At times it shows human emotions and at times it's like a lump of iron. Forget it, I'll just complete today's task first.' he thought then glanced at the task for that day.

'Okay I'll start with running first' he thought then stood on all four.
'It feels a bit better than earlier, it was way too stiff I can move properly now. Running on all four feels new though.' he thought then took a few steps walking first to get used to the new feeling and after a while he started a light sprint.
While sprinting round the forest, he didn't meet another beast nearby, the area looked deserted and only the trees with the howling sounds nearby could be heard.
' The dark forest is supposed to be filled with beasts right? Why does it look so deserted and I feel very light, running doesn't feel that hard, perks of being a wolf I guess'
After running for a while he checked the panel for his progress.

'This should be enough, I'll go back'
He ran back to his starting destination near the small river panting heavily. 'I don't want to go far away from this river, there don't seem to be other beasts nearby and it looks safe.'
He checked his panel and tapped the daily quests section.

The first quest was now blinking and he stared it for a while then... 'Uggh, system I've completed it what do I do now?'

Without another moment of hesitation, he tapped on it and a mechanical voice came from the system.

Draxus stared at the screen for a while expecting something to happen but he didn't notice anything.
