THE TIME FLOW

Hi, my name is 'Kive'—a name that signifies 'achievement.' Before I share my story with you, let me tell you a little about myself. I am a college science student who dreams of building a time machine—one that could transport me to a point in time where I could witness every single one of my past lives. As we all know, we aren't the same person in every incarnation; we might be a boy, a girl, or even an animal. While we may not encounter the exact same people in every life, there is invariably one specific person we meet in every single birth—someone with whom we spend our entire lives. But what happens if, in a particular lifetime, that person isn't born at all? Can we truly live out our entire lives without them? Or would we end up spending our whole existence searching for them, or simply waiting? Yet, so often in life, the people we like don't like us back, and the people who like us are the ones we don't like. For instance, if we are weeping over someone, there is likely someone else weeping over us—though we rarely realize this, because we tend to think only of ourselves. Don't we?
