Chapter 17 - Remanising Together

Lance spread his stone-skin wings, and his claws extended. The goblin realized he was stuck with a gargoyle who looked ready to skin something.

"You were staring at him," Lance's voice distorted and echoed. "You were staring at my dragon!"

"My contact said he sold his body to the highest bidder." The goblin's voice was rough and thick with frustration. "I wanted my fun."

"He is exclusive!" Lance roared and lunged forward, his wings slamming air back, propelling him forward, and locked his claws around the goblin's neck, slamming him against the wall, cutting off airflow. The goblin's eyes widened, bulging wide, making him look bug-eyed. "If you dare touch him, I will rip your spine from your body and shove it so deep down your throat that no one will fix what remains of you!"

Lance threw the goblin across the room, crashing him into the opposite wall, cracking the wall and falling apart on the goblin's body. He then left the room. Lance's expression was dark, cold, and betrayed no emotion as he made his way through the club. As he walked, he spotted Ashton enjoying a bright, sparkling blue tequila drink. Lance watched him drink, making his way to him at the bar.

"Enjoying yourself?" Lance asked, hugging Ashton from behind.

"I am, funny enough," Ashton replied.

"Ready to go?"

"I wouldn't mind heading out now," Ashton said, finishing his drink. "Especially after the creeper in the VIP room."

"Alright, we can do something else for a date tonight," Lance said as the bartender came, and Ashton tapped the card on the payment terminal.

"Let's go," Ashton left with Lance, walking side by side out the door. Ashton had no idea Lance had just threatened someone's life, or that more possible trouble would be coming his way because of his ex-boyfriend.

"Where to?" Lance asked him.

"I think somewhere warmer than outside since it's getting dark and I can smell rain coming," Ashton said, sniffing the air as they walked to the limo.

"Perfect, I know a place that's closed, but I can make some calls for favours," Lance told him.

"Yeah?" Ashton asked as Lance helped him inside the limo. "You have a lot of connections, don't you?"

"Of course I do," Lance pulled Ashton onto his lap when the door shut, and the limo drove off. "I need to get all the best for you, as my partner and future spouse."

"Okay, Romeo," Ashton rolled his eyes. A fanged grin spread across his face. "So, where are we going?"

"A fast-food place, they will have everything ready by then," Lance said while playing with Ashton's hair.

"Let me guess," Ashton sighed. "You stalked me and got to know my likes in food."

"Maybe," Lance teased, kissing Ashton's neck. "Besides, it pays off with having you, right? I would gladly get things like that looked into again just to get everything right for a first date and learn things just starting to develop."

"Wow, okay. So tell me, what exactly did you learn by looking into me?" Ashton laughed.

"Just you or your friends too?" Lance asked, rubbing Ashton's thighs while he sat in Lance's lap.

"Both," Ashton said. Leaning back into Lance. "Let's see what you get right and what you get wrong. I am actually curious."

"Well," Lance began, resting his chin on Ashton's shoulder. "Let's start with college."

"Okay," Ashton laughed. "Name the first thing you learned about me then."

"First thing I learned was how nice a form you have with dragon features," Lance said, feeling up Ashton's body.
