Chapter 20 - A Difficult Mission

"Did he escape? As expected of Speed-o-Sound Sonic."

King panted heavily, the side effects of using Fighting Spirit were gradually manifesting.

[Congratulations to the host for obtaining the B-Class Rank 1, Fubuki's talent: Psychokinesis (Wind Control), Skill: Hellstorm. Talent Growth Value: 0%. Validity: 3 days, Usage: 1 hour.]

'Great, it's Psychokinesis from Fubuki again.' King was ecstatic.

The first time he used Psychokinesis, he had instantly kille Vaccine Man, who was low Dragon-level.

'Wait, hold on a second! Talent growth value is zero percent?' King's eyes widened.

He naturally knew how critical the Talent Growth Value was. Don't underestimate that fifty percent, it's like the gap between a Tiger-level monster and a Dragon-level monster—a world of difference.

[Talents are generated randomly.]

Before King could curse, the notification sound rang out again.

[Ding! Random mission triggered: Defeat Garou. Reward: 5,000 Talent Points, one random Talent Trial Card.]

[Ding! Mission activated: Monster Slaughter Order. Reward: 500,000 Talent Points.]

The series of sounds left King stunned in place. Only after confirming repeatedly did he accept reality.

500,000 Talent Points!

King's eyes gleamed, but since the usually stingy system had suddenly become so generous, the difficulty of this mission was likely extraordinary.

"Monster Slaughter Order, hiss..."

King carefully examined the Monster Slaughter Order, only then truly realizing the difficulty of this mission.

[Monster Slaughter Order: Kill 80 monsters below Demon-level, 15 Demon-level monsters, and 5 Dragon-level monsters. ]

[Time limit: 3 months]

[Mission failure results in the random removal of one of Host's talents.]

Within three months, let alone killing 100 monsters, even finding that many might not be possible, let alone the fact that it includes five Dragon-level monsters.

The Dragon-level monsters King had killed previously were either by sheer luck or by relying on powerful Talent Trial Cards.

However, the Talent Trial Cards had limited duration, and even if he drew an S-Class high-combat-power Talent Trial Card, it was impossible for him to find so many Dragon-level monsters in a short period.

'That's ruthless, randomly removing a talent. If there's a place where monsters gather, I'm afraid it's only that place.'

King's gaze became firm. He currently possessed three S-Class talents, and it would be unacceptable to lose any of them.

[Ding! If the host can complete the mission within two months, an additional reward of Normal Punch, one usage, will be granted.]

"Holy crap!"

King was stunned by the additional mission reward. He knew that Saitama's Normal Punch and Serious Punch were the talents he dreamed of.

Saitama's Serious Punch could almost destroy a planet, and even a Normal Punch was enough to instantly kill a Peak Dragon-level monster, and could even reach God-level power.

'If I want to find that many monsters, I'm afraid it has to be that place.'

King calmed down and thought of a place: Z-City.

That was also Saitama's home, but few people dared to live there because the Monster Association was located directly beneath Z-City.

'Two months, 100 monsters. I need to hurry.'

In A-City, inside the Hero Association headquarters conference hall, the high-level officials were gathered, discussing important matters.

"I heard a Paradise Group has emerged recently? It seems they are disrupting public order."

"Yes, but it has already been taken care of by C-Class Rank 1, Mumen Rider."

"Is he still unwilling to advance to B-Class?" Sitch shook his head helplessly.

Actually, Mumen Rider had high popularity among the public, and he also wanted to raise his hero rank. However, Mumen Rider was very satisfied with his current ranking and was unwilling to increase his level, so the Association had no choice.

"Additionally, monster appearances have become increasingly frequent lately."

"Yes, but we have already found that the source of the monsters seems to be in Z-City." Sitch looked serious.

Recently, monsters had been emerging in the city one after another, causing immeasurable losses.

"The Association has already dispatched two heroes to investigate: A-Class Rank 29 Golden Ball and A-Class Rank 33 Spring Mustachio."

Jinzuren was reporting in detail with the report in hand, but his eyes were somewhat heavy. After all, Z-City was known as a Ghost Town, and it was rumored that monsters above Demon-level were highly likely to exist there.

Meanwhile, in Z-City Ghost Town, A-Class Rank 29 Golden Ball had already fallen to the ground unconscious, leaving only Spring Mustachio standing barely, in a sorry state.

"Damn it, to run into this kind of monster so easily... even if they paid me, I wouldn't want to live here."

A bitter smile appeared on Spring Mustachio's face, and then he lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

"So boring. Is it over just like that? Not even a scream?"

Countless long strips waved in the air as a pitch-black humanoid monster stood in place, looking boredly at the two unconscious heroes.

Swish!

The monster suddenly attacked the unconscious Spring Mustachio, seemingly intending to kill him.

Bang!

At the critical moment, a figure flashed by and rescued Spring Mustachio.

"Hmm? There's still someone here? As expected, rumors are unreliable. If there were truly powerful monsters here, how could there still be humans living here?"

"Good thing I didn't come too late."

King placed Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball in a safe place, then turned and headed towards the Kelp Monster, Kombu Infinity.

[Monster sighting in Z-City, two heroes are struggling in battle! Will nearby A-Class or higher heroes please provide immediate support!!!]

King looked at the message sent by the Hero Association on his phone and dialed the number.

"C-Class Rank 50 Dark Mask has arrived at the scene. Both heroes have fallen unconscious, but their lives are not in danger. Leave the monster to me."

"C-Class Rank 50, Dark Mask?"

Jess was taken aback upon hearing the voice on the phone, then his expression changed drastically, and he snatched the phone from Maria.

"You must evacuate that place immediately! That is not an enemy you can handle! We have already dispatched nearby A-Class heroes to support! Until then, you just need to ensure your own safety!"

Beep! Beep!

Before Jess could finish speaking, the call was already hung up.

"Jess-san, what do we do? Both A-Class heroes have lost their combat capabilities and are in a coma. It might be a long time before nearby heroes can provide reinforcements."

"Anyone below A-Class going there is just suicide. Now we can only pray for his good luck, but this person seems to have other secrets."

Jess was holding Dark Mask's file in his hand. Dark Mask had only recently joined the Hero Association, and his past record was only easily killing a few Wolf-level monsters, his true strength had never been shown.

"Just how strong is your true strength? Show us this time."
