Alice flinched at his question, but she quickly shook her head. [Maybe he had a bad dream.] She held his hand gently and said, "No… I'm not just Alice. I'm your eternal love, okay? :) Your fate is mine now." Her cheeks burned bright red.
Sana smiled in his sleep, looking peaceful and happy.
Her phone rang again. She quickly silenced it. "I don't care about anything else. The only thing that matters is my hero. I won't let anything affect our place anymore." She smiled to herself, finally able to embrace her true feelings. The warmth in her chest made her feel refreshed and truly happy. "You make me happy, Sana."
/POP Zure/
The calls kept coming, over and over, all day while he was at school. Zure couldn't concentrate on his studies at all.
Maly, a girl who secretly had feelings for him, grew worried. She approached him hesitantly. "What's wrong, Zure?"
Zure forced a small smile. "Oh… nothing. I'm just worried about Alice. She's my childhood friend, after all."
Maly saw through his act immediately—they had been classmates for years. In her heart, she knew Zure was kind, pure, and honest… but Alice had ruined him in some way. She hated Alice for it. She wanted to save him, but her feelings for him kept her from stepping in fully.
Why was she in love with him? His kindness in the past, the way he treated her… it pulled her in. But when Alice appeared, everything seemed to change. Their relationship had been completely shaken.
Maly's smile turned bitter. "You always care about Alice… you don't care about me at all!" she shouted, running out of the classroom.
Everyone in the class gasped.
A guy stepped forward toward Zure. It was Waso, Maly's childhood friend, who had feelings for her. Anger flared in his eyes. Using his strong hands, he grabbed Zure by the collar. "If you hurt her again, I'll make you regret it!" His gaze burned into Zure's.
Zure smiled faintly, calm as ever. "I've already told you. I only see her as a friend. This isn't my fault."
Waso's jaw clenched. "You're sick… Why does she—" He glanced toward the door, seeing the way Maly had run, and immediately ran after her.
[All because of Alice… because of you… you ruined everything. But I love it. I won't give up. I'll take all the chaos you bring into my life.]
Zure smiled to himself, a chilling, eerie smile that made other students shrink back in fear. No one wanted to approach him. There was something unnervingly perfect about his demeanor—so calm, so controlled—that it sent shivers down everyone's spine.
