The rhythmic thundering of horse hooves grew louder, shaking the very earth beneath Han's feet. A thick cloud of dust rose at the edge of the field, illuminated by the flickering torches of the approaching riders. Han's grip on his hoe tightened, his knuckles straining. Beside him, Maya remained unnervingly calm, her silver-grey cloak fluttering in the cold night breeze.
"Remember, Han," Maya whispered, her eyes never leaving the approaching shadows. "Fear is a harvest for the weak. Stand your ground, and the soil will answer to you."
Three riders burst through the mist, their horses snorting with exhaustion. At the front was Gagan, a scarred man known as Bimal Singh's most ruthless enforcer. He pulled his horse to a sharp halt, the animal rearing up just inches away from the glowing Heavenly Sprouts.
"So, the rumors were true," Gagan sneered, his eyes widening with greed as he looked at the emerald light pulsing from the ground. "A lowly farmer growing treasures fit for a king. Han, you've been hiding quite a secret from the landlord."
"This is my land, Gagan," Han said, his voice surprisingly steady. "I owe Bimal Singh his taxes, nothing more. These crops are not his to claim."
Gagan laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "Everything on this land belongs to the Master. Men! Uproot these glowing weeds. We're taking them back to the manor."
As the two men dismounted and stepped toward the field, Han felt a surge of white-hot anger. Suddenly, a blue translucent screen flickered before his eyes.

"Stay back!" Han roared. As he slammed his hoe into the dirt, he felt a strange, electric connection with the earth. A low rumble started deep underground. Suddenly, the soil beneath the intruders' feet shifted violently. The two men stumbled, falling face-first into the mud as the ground groaned like a waking beast.
Gagan's eyes turned cold. He drew a rusted iron sword, the metal gleaming menacingly in the torchlight. "Magic? You've been dabbling in the dark arts, farmer? That makes this an execution!"
He lunged forward, but Maya moved with the speed of a striking viper. With a simple wave of her hand, a wall of thick, thorny vines erupted from the perimeter of the field, blocking Gagan's path. The thorns were sharp as needles and pulsed with a faint green light.
"The forest does not welcome thieves," Maya said, her voice echoing with a supernatural resonance.
Gagan recoiled, his horse shying away in terror. He looked at Han, then at the mysterious woman, and finally at the glowing field that seemed to be watching him. "This isn't over, Han! You can't hide behind a witch forever. Bimal Singh will hear of this, and he will bring an army!"
With a frustrated curse, Gagan turned his horse around and retreated into the darkness, his men scrambling to follow him. Silence returned to the field, broken only by the heavy breathing of Han and the soft hum of the magical plants.

Han slumped slightly, the adrenaline fading. He looked at his hands, which were still glowing with a faint blue aura. He had protected his farm, but he knew this was just the beginning. The shadow of the landlord was long, and the true battle was only just starting to unfold.
