Chapter 84 - Report 75- Final Days of the Grail War (4)

Mélusine and Galahad shoot through the sky like a blood red comet. An ill omen for all who look up at the heavens and see only a slash across it's majesty. Their first destination was Archer. With their location already known from Sir Nighteye and later confirmed by other sources and finally their own investigation, they did not hesitate.

It didn't take long to reach where they were at. Archer themselves was already prepared for combat. They could feel the master and servant from the time they were at U.A. The malice they gave off could make anyone stand on edge, even across the planet.

"COME!!" Archer shouted as they manifest several flintlock rifles. "I'LL SHOW WHY I AM THE DEMON KING OF THE SIXTH HEAVEN!!"

She then fired each and every one of her rifles filling the sky with dots of lead.

This was not going to be a battle, this was going to be a murder. Archer knew this as every one of her shots stemmed from desperation and fear. She knew what kind of monsters where now coming after them.

"I'LL FIGHT YOU TO THE END!! NASCENT BEAST OF HUMANITY!!"

Mélusine and Galahad easily went through the barrage of artillery shots using their own bodies as weapons to cut, divert, or just tank the hits—this one was mostly Galahad who enforced his body. Archer gritted their teeth as they did not stop or fear their attacks. She had to deploy her Noble Phantasm.

"<>" She chanted as flames began to burst around her.

The crimson comet exploded with power and before Archer could finish their chant, the strongest master and servant destroyed their Saint Graph with one swing from their arms.

Nobunaga was wide-eyed. They reached towards their chest, and it slipped through. There was a gap in their chest.

"Ah… Damn."

Archer—Oda Nobunaga turned to look at the ones who killed them, but they were already gone, far from her sight to see them in person. All she sees is the faint trail of a crimson flying away to bring doom to their next target.

"Heald's… of Destruction."

They then vanished into particles. Archer has been defeated, two more enemy Servants are left for the strongest pair of Master and Servant to eliminate remain.

Their next destination was towards Fuyuki. They cut through the sky, rending the sea of clouds, and arriving there within minutes of killing Archer. Their malice could be felt from miles away.

They burst into the hidden lair of the League of Villains and began to rush through them and through all the doors of the R&D department. There were several thousand of barriers were activated to stop the advance of these two monsters. It was like a sharp knife cutting through several sheets of wet toilet paper.

A voice then rung out.

"A servant and their master." Said a young adult male voice coming from a nearby speaker. "I wanted to ask but what is your class, Lancelot? I highly doubt it is Rider—well maybe it is. You are very fast."

"Mélusine." Galahad gritted his teeth. "Obliterate everyone."

"Mélusine?" The voice said.

"Go all out."

"Got it!" Mélusine replied.

Galahad and Mélusine open their mouth and a horrifying amount of mana collects before their open mouth and get compacted into a sphere no bigger than a American quarter.

"Wait! Wait!" Shouted the voice.

They then yelled.

"!!!!!!!!!!"

The entire mountain side was erased in a beam of fire and light. The two turn away from the empty, melted scene they created to see Siegfried and Tomura along with the rest of the League of Villains.

Saber steps forward to cover Tomura and the rest who were frozen in place from fear of two apex creatures.

"What… happened to you?" Saber said with incredulous eyes. "Albert."

Galahad only frowned.

"Give me your heart." He holds his hand out. "I am done with sneaking around. I want the fucking grail to end this."

"No." He said firmly. "I can feel it in my bones, in my Saint Graph. You… you are a Beast."

He was kinda right. Galahad just needs a bit of a boost to really get there. He could naturally reach it but why wait when the way to do it immediately was before him.

"Not yet he is." Mélusine replied as she narrows her eyes on Saber.

"Why aren't you stopping him!" He shouts at Mélusine. "He is a threat to humanity itself! As a Heroic Spirit you should stop him at all costs!"

"I am his servant, his most faithful companion and lover. This is the path he wants, a path me and him previously could not make on our own."

"We got no strings on us to hold us down." Galahad said as he gets more annoyed by how long this is taking. "I will accomplish my dream and finally… end this farse. Like your luck in avoiding getting killed."

"What is—"

"Mélusine."

Before Saber could even react Mélusine already had her hand in his chest. She was even stronger, faster than before. Her power eclipse everything he has seen. Like 10-20—no, at least 1000 Fanir's! But even that is not even Mélusine putting her back into it.

"Ah!" He let out a surprised gasp.

She then pulled her hand out and a beating heart that glowed brightly. She floated back and appeared next to Galahad.

"Ugh!" Saber grasped his open chest, blood stains his hands and falls into the floor.

"Saber!" Shigaraki immediately kneeled to his side.

"This heart was promised to me. I have no need for a sword anymore."

Mélusine then placed the heart into Galahad's hands where he opened his mouth and swallowed it in one gulp like a snake eating an egg. His horns grew from the digestion.

He drops his sword as he slowly turns to his master.

"Tomu… ra…"

Tomura looks at Saber with wide eyes.

"Saber!!" he yelled out. "Please you have to stay alive!"

He reached out to him, but Saber disappeared into particles.

"NOOOOOO!!!" He cried out.

All six of the servants of the Grail War have been slain, all six by Galahad and Mélusine.

"Galahad, let's go. The grail should be manifesting soon." Mélusine said floating behind Galahad.

"You know where it is?"

"Kischur said it manifests at main leyline nods of the land. Since this Grail War was built off the Fuyuki system the leylines to look for are here."

"Then let's go."

"What of them?" Mélusine gestured to the League of Villains.

"Hmph. Leave them. Rats can't kill beasts like us."

Mélusine picks Galahad up and flies off.

"Albert!!!" Tomura shouts. "ALBERT!!!!"

At the heart of the mountain in Fuyuki they see it. Emanating a thick magic aura was a large, grotesque—maybe macabre little mountain of flesh and crystal with several fractures all around it. Looking at it Galahad couldn't help but think how it looks like the vagina of a woman if it was designed by H.R. Geiger how was inspired by the dark fantasy genre.

"Is this supposed to be it? Rather… Freudian, no?" Galahad said looking at it.

"The grail has many shapes from what Kischur said. One was this large stone sphere that was pillage from a greedy dragon, one was this weird flesh pillar thing that was destroyed by a daughter meeting their mother again and saving their little brother. One was actually the whole golden grail but got destroyed by a Saber. In any case the grail has been corrupt since the Third Holy Grail War, the Einzbern's summoned a Avenger, and it corrupted the grail."

"Is this one safe to use?"

"It is… sorta. The old man never gave me a concrete answer."

"How do we… you know?"

"We enter and make our wish. Simple as that."

"I see no door."

"I'll show you."

Mélusine holds his hand out. Galahad catches this, smiles and holds her hand, interlocking their fingers.

"This has been… a journey."

"It has been… Galahad. Has this been a... fun journey, at least?"

"It is sour. Only the times with you did I see in retrospect to be sweet. Probably the sweetest things I have experienced."

He made a wry, painful smile, yet one that touched the fairy's heart. Mélusine couldn't help but shed a tear.

"… Thank you, Galahad."

The two then go and enter the grail.

Inside the grail was a world of pure white, broken glass-like space, and flowers. Standing in the middle was a woman with long white hair and red lifeless eyes. She wore a white dress that is made from gold, and is fitted with seven rings.

They stepped a bit closer and several more women in the same attire, and similar appearances appeared. They were very subtle, but there were differences if one took a close look. But overall they all looked nearly perfectly identical. There were some that were of a child, no older than possibly 8 or even 9 years of age, but no elderly women? There was however some outliers in some of the women and girls in the far off distance had black hair and golden eyes.

"You are the winners of the Holy Grail War, the final Master and Servant." The women all said at the same time in an empty tone of voice.

She looked and sounded like a doll. Galahad found this to be vile.

"Who are you all?" Galahad asks.

"We are a nexus of many living mechanisms woven into the grail through time and space. Each one of us are recreations of others who were woven into the grail and became a terminal across different worlds and timelines. Now, make your wish."

Galahad steps forward.

"I wish to be rid of my bondage that the United States of America put on me—to be a fully realized Beast of Humanity."

Mélusine stepped forward next.

"I wish for incarnation."

Galahad turns to her, surprised. She never really said what she wanted the grail for, not that he asked her.

"You wish to be alive again?"

"I want to stay with you, and love you as equals. Not as a Master and Servant but as a man and a woman."

This touched Galahad deeply. With her princely, and charming smile she truly made his heart beat just a bit more faster. He nods at her and then looks to the terminal of the grail. The grail terminal then looks at the two and nods in confirmation of their wishes.

"Your wish shall be granted."

The grail begins to shake upon activation. From all around them they, the terminals, speak all at once:

"A juvenile Beast of Humanity shall step into adulthood to be rid of the bondage of his homeland. So is the wish of Galahad, master of Lancer, claiming the crown of evil."

"The left hand of the dragon Albion shall leave behind who they were and become their own self. So is the wish of Mélusine, servant of Galahad, a dragon of her own right."

"Champions of the Holy Grail. May you live long on this ephemeral earth."

So says the terminal of the Holy Grail as they activate the grail to grant the winners their wishes.
