On healing the divide within and withoutThe responsibility lies within each of us
We must all work together,
We each perpetuate our prejudice and hatred altogether.
But i know we wrestle not against flesh and blood, it is a spiritual matter, here is what to do
Place on the armor, know when to fight, to flee, and to pray.
Take a stand with our leaders, vote, protest, and let God have the final say.
Support one another, to those without, learn empathy, compassion, and advocacy and allyship.
For those within, learn to heal, to forgive, to set healthy boundaries, keep your Bibles close to the hip, return to the old ways given to us by the ancient of days.
Let grace be on each of our tongues,
And to raise up in love our young ones.
Teach the new generation a different story,
To learn a better way, yet not to erase or rewrite our history.
It is through the suffering and recorded suffering of our ancestors,
We learn resiliency and to be much better than our predecessors.
Stop the violence and spreading of hatred, from either side.
Get right with God, love your neighbor as yourself, thus starts the healing of the divide.
