Chapter 13 - A Night of Unspoken Emotions

📖 Royal Blue Villa

Some nights are loud.

Filled with laughter, celebration, and joy.

But some nights…

Are silent.

Heavy.

Awkward.

And yet—

They leave the deepest impact.

---

The Room That Felt Too Big

The door closed softly behind them.

And suddenly—

Everything went quiet.

Monika stood near the entrance of the room, her fingers clutching the edge of her dupatta.

It was… huge.

The room.

Elegant.

Soft lighting.

A king-sized bed in the center.

Everything perfect.

Everything unfamiliar.

Everything—

Overwhelming.

---

The Distance Between Them

Rudra walked in calmly, as if nothing had changed.

But something had.

Everything had.

He removed his watch, placing it on the table.

Then turned toward her.

Monika was still standing there.

Not moving.

Not speaking.

Just… there.

---

The First Words

"You can sit," Rudra said softly.

His voice wasn't cold.

But it wasn't warm either.

It was careful.

Monika nodded slightly and walked toward the edge of the bed, sitting down slowly.

There was a distance between them.

Not just physical.

But emotional.

---

Awkward Silence

A few seconds passed.

Then minutes.

Neither spoke.

Because what do you say…

To someone you just married for a deal?

---

Breaking the Tension

"You don't have to be nervous."

Rudra's voice broke the silence.

Monika looked up.

"I'm not," she replied.

But her fingers—

Said otherwise.

---

A Small, Honest Moment

Rudra noticed.

But he didn't point it out.

Instead, he said—

"This marriage… doesn't change anything for you."

Monika frowned slightly.

"What do you mean?"

"You're free," he said.

"No pressure. No expectations."

A pause.

"You can live here the way you want."

---

The Unexpected Respect

Monika looked at him carefully.

This wasn't what she expected.

Not control.

Not authority.

But… space.

"Why?" she asked.

Rudra didn't answer immediately.

Then quietly—

"Because you didn't choose this for yourself."

That one line—

Hit differently.

---

A Soft Shift

For the first time that night—

Monika's expression softened.

Just a little.

"Thank you," she said quietly.

Rudra nodded once.

No big reaction.

But inside—

Something moved.

---

A Simple Arrangement

"I'll take the couch," Rudra said.

Monika looked up immediately.

"No, you don't have to—"

"It's fine."

His tone left no room for argument.

He picked up a pillow and walked toward the couch.

---

The Unexpected Feeling

Monika watched him.

Confused.

Why is he doing this?

Why is he being… considerate?

This wasn't part of the deal.

And yet—

It felt real.

---

A Night That Didn't Sleep

Lights turned off.

The room dimmed.

But sleep—

Didn't come.

Monika lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Her mind full.

Her life had changed in a single day.

New house.

New people.

New identity.

And him…

Rudra.

---

The Same Restlessness

On the couch, Rudra stared at the ceiling too.

But his thoughts were different.

Not about the deal.

Not about the family.

But about—

Her.

After years…

She was here.

In his life.

In his room.

And yet—

So far.

---

A Quiet Conversation in Darkness

"Are you awake?" Monika's voice came softly.

Rudra turned slightly.

"Yes."

A pause.

Then she said—

"Thank you… for today."

Her voice was genuine.

Rudra replied quietly—

"You don't have to thank me."

"I do," she said.

"You changed everything."

---

The Truth He Didn't Say

Rudra almost said—

You changed everything long ago.

But he didn't.

Instead, he just said—

"Get some sleep."

---

A Small Smile in the Dark

Monika turned slightly.

A faint smile on her face.

For the first time in days—

She felt safe.

---

Meanwhile… Dhruv

Outside the room, Dhruv leaned casually against the wall.

A mischievous smile on his face.

"So… first night, huh?"

He shook his head.

"Bhagwan jaane andar kya ho raha hoga."

Then he laughed softly to himself.

---

Brother Bond 💙

Later, Rudra stepped out quietly.

And found Dhruv waiting.

"You're still here?" Rudra asked.

Dhruv grinned.

"Of course. Important night."

Rudra gave him a look.

"Go sleep."

Dhruv folded his arms.

"You like her, don't you?"

Direct.

As always.

---

A Question He Avoided

Rudra didn't answer.

Which was answer enough.

Dhruv smiled wider.

"I knew it."

"Shut up," Rudra said calmly.

---

The Real Conversation

"But seriously," Dhruv said, his tone softer now,

"you did the right thing."

Rudra looked at him.

"For once," Dhruv added,

"you didn't think like a businessman."

A pause.

"You thought like… a human."

---

A Rare Moment

Rudra's expression softened slightly.

"Go to sleep, Dhruv."

Dhruv smiled.

"Goodnight, bhai."

As he walked away, he muttered—

"Ab maza aayega…"

---

Two Hearts. One Beginning

Back inside the room—

Two people lay awake.

Not in love.

Not yet.

But something had started.

A connection.

A comfort.

A silent understanding.

And sometimes—

That's how the strongest relationships begin.
