Chapter 72 - A professional player ?

I noticed a strange phenomenon, although 'vector' power is terrifyingly strong, absolutely no one writes about it.

I don't know why, so I thought about writing a novel about it.

But honestly, the setting is the One Piece world, but I don't know if you will like it?My idea for the One Piece world is that the protagonist will follow the Straw Hat Pirates.

Honestly, it's hard to find good companions in One Piece and a new crew other than the Straw Hats.

But I also thought that people would love it in Naruto if I wrote in Naruto.

It would be in Kushina's era when she first moved to Konoha.

Or should I combine the two worlds and make the protagonist travel between two worlds ?.

But for the idea of combining the two worlds and making the protagonist travel between them, I had another idea that is better than the vector power, and a detailed plot.

I don't know.

Personally, I lean towards One Piece, I even wrote two chapters.Anyway, what do you think?"

Clang…

A resounding, exhilarating clang echoed throughout the arena.

The thud of the rim tugged at everyone's heartstrings.

Ryu released his grip on the rim and landed back on the ground.

Ryu had successfully dunked the ball again.

Outside the court, the area outside the fence was now packed with people.

Everyone stared at Ryu on the court with expressions of utter disbelief.

Too strong, truly too strong.

Everyone could tell that Ryu wasn't very old.

But in a team where everyone was in their twenties or thirties, the contrast was even more striking.

Ryu had just been practically divinely inspired.

That speed was inhuman.

Running that fast on flat ground would be normal.

But this was sand; every step you took would sink in, making it much more difficult to gain momentum.

At this moment, somewhere outside the fence stood a middle-aged man, somewhat disheveled and wearing a black, bare-armed robe, with a full beard.

He carried a gourd of wine in his hand, occasionally taking a sip.

His intelligent black eyes reflected the figure of Ryu inside the arena.

Ryu seemed to sense something and looked in his direction.

The two locked eyes.

Ryu frowned slightly, unable to discern anything.

He shook his head, then focused his attention back on the game.

He only needed to score two more goals to complete his mission; he had no time to think about anything else.

The disheveled man outside the fence saw Ryu turn and meet his gaze.

A flash of surprise crossed his eyes, and a strange smile inexplicably appeared on his lips.

Ryu simply assumed the man was a spectator and didn't think much of it.

His gaze was now fixed on the basketball.

The opposing team, having just crossed half-court, passed the ball to the small forward guarding him.

Ryu spread his arms wide, firmly blocking the opponent's path.

However, the opponent protected the ball tightly, their body occasionally colliding with Ryu.

Ryu felt waves of pain in his chest, sometimes numb, sometimes sharp.

But with his physique, the impact was manageable.

Suddenly, Ryu felt a tremendous force, his center of gravity shifting slightly.

He involuntarily took a step back, instantly creating a body length distance between himself and his opponent.

Ryu's heart sank.

Sure enough, as soon as they created distance, the opponent passed the ball.

Ryu was helpless. In terms of physical strength, he was naturally no match for these adults.

He could only watch helplessly as the ball was passed to his teammate.

The ball was currently in the hands of the opposing shooting guard.

However, he was tightly guarded by Ryu's opponent and couldn't break free for the time being.

Frustrated, he tossed the ball back to his teammate's point guard.

The young man wasn't about to back down and engaged in several physical collisions with his opponent.

However, the young man seemed no match for his opponent, who was repeatedly knocked back.

With no one guarding him, the opposing point guard charged straight to the basket and made a layup.

Swish… The basketball went in successfully.

This was the first basket scored by the opposing team since Ryu entered the game.

Ryu inbounded the ball again.

This time, the opposing small forward was marking him closely.

Ryu's previous performance had already earned his attention, so he dared not be careless in the slightest.

Ryu kept changing positions, trying to shake off his opponent.

At this moment, the young man had control of the ball.

The young man charged across half-court with the ball, only to be double-teamed by the opposing point guard and center.

In a split second, he quickly passed the ball to his shooting guard.

However, the shooting guard was also in a difficult position.

The rules here were different from those in regular games.

Ordinary fouls were perfectly normal here.

This meant the opposing defense practically rendered him immobile.

He glanced around, trying to find a passing lane. To his disappointment, his teammates were completely surrounded.

Ryu saw the opponent's predicament.

His eyes flashed, and the instant he targeted the opponent's small forward's weakness, he vanished from sight.

However, the opponent's reaction was not slow either.

Feeling the breeze from his side, he reacted instantly.

Just then, a smile curved Ryu's lips.

His body suddenly froze, his initial sideways breakthrough motion instantly transforming into a C-shaped spin. The opposing small forward only saw a blur before his eyes.

He thought he had blocked him, but suddenly felt a chill on his other side, and then a silver shadow flashed past the corner of his eye.

Ryu had successfully deceived his opponent with a feint, breaking through from the other side.

"This guy," the opposing small forward was stunned.

He hadn't expected to be fooled by a feint.

On the sidelines, the disheveled uncle, witnessing this scene, had a strange gleam in his eyes.

He raised his gourd and gulped down two more mouthfuls of wine, spilling some all over himself.

This drew disgusted and contemptuous looks from the surrounding crowd.

He seemed completely unconcerned, casually wiping the drink from his mouth and continuing to watch the game.

On the court, Ryu moved with the speed of the wind, running swiftly across the beach.

The opposing players chased after him frantically.

However, Ryu suddenly stopped abruptly just before the three-point line.

Those chasing him couldn't stop in time and rushed past him.

Ryu stood at the three-point line and gracefully launched a three-pointer.

The basketball landed with pinpoint accuracy in the basket.

Ryu wasn't particularly good at shooting three-pointers; however, when unguarded, his three-point shooting percentage was still very high.

[Basketball Basics] includes spot shooting.

Seeing Ryu's incredible skill, cheers erupted from the sidelines. His teammates also gathered around, praising him.

"That three-pointer was absolutely gorgeous!"

"I never knew your three-pointers were so accurate."

"You're a monster, kid."

Ryu scratched his head modestly and said, "It's all luck. I've practiced spot shooting, and my accuracy is pretty high when no one's guarding me."

The young man looked at Ryu with a complicated expression. "You kid, I really don't know what to say to you. I'd believe you if you said you were a professional player."

Ryu waved his hand and smiled. "You flatter me, senior. I'm still a long way from being a professional player."

Although he had never seen a professional basketball player in this world, he could guess a thing or two.

At least at the level of the five high school players who never won a championship.

As for whether the Generation of Miracles surpassed or matched professionals, that remained to be seen.

Meanwhile, Kise Ryota had almost finished his work. "Thank you for your hard work today," a staff member spoke to him with concern. Kise Ryota smiled and replied, "It's nothing!"

The staff member continued to inquire, "Would you like to come with us? You can take our car back."

Kise Ryota waved his hand. "No, thank you. This is my first time at a beach park. It's still early; I plan to stroll around here."

"I see. Well then, we'll be going now. Have a great time."

The staff members said goodbye to Kise Ryota and left.

Kise Ryota stretched, then turned and walked towards the beach basketball court.
