Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Second Prison - The Torrential Rain Hell

The group ran ceaselessly towards the Second Prison. Among them, Issei Hyoudou, recalling their experiences since arriving in the underworld, couldn't help but shed tears as he said:

"Uncle Tannin... Bakuha... Dulio... Gaspar..."

At that moment, their teacher Azazel ran up alongside Issei Hyoudou. While running, he said to him, "There's no need for tears. We simply underestimated the strength of the underworld. Who would have thought the Heavenly Spirit Specters would be so powerful, and that every hell would be guarded by such formidable Guardian Dragons."

"That's right, don't let Dulio and the others' efforts be in vain."

"We must defeat Hades. Consider it a proper conclusion to this matter."

Michael and Sirzechs also ran to his side, offering words of comfort as they ran.

Just then, Benniah ran over, holding a map of the underworld. Looking at the location and description of the Second Prison, she said:

"The Second Prison is the Torrential Rain Hell, where the greedy and criminal are sent. The sinners are pelted by heavy, cold rain, and there, it perpetually rains highly concentrated acid rain capable of melting souls."

"Perpetual acid rain that melts souls!? How did Hades come up with a hellish punishment like that!?" Hearing Benniah's words, Azazel couldn't help but shudder, hugging his chest and rubbing his shoulders.

As they spoke, the group arrived at the Second Prison. A structure resembling Egypt's Abu Simbel Temples stood before them. Just as Benniah had described, dark clouds hung densely over the building, from which green acid rain fell incessantly. The souls of the dead, drenched by the acid rain, wailed ceaselessly, their cries echoing everywhere they fled.

Seeing this, everyone's faces inevitably turned grim. Although they had learned about the hell's punishments from the underworld map, that was only verbal and textual knowledge. They hadn't imagined the reality would be even more terrifying. Some of the more timid among them couldn't help but gag.

Subsequently, those skilled in magic conjured a spherical barrier above them to prevent the acid rain from falling on them, allowing the group to continue advancing. It was precisely when no one was paying attention that a clear stream surged from the ground of the Second Prison. The water gradually accumulated, coalescing behind the group into a dragon composed entirely of water, with two heads and glowing red eyes.

[Water Dragon - Cluster] (ATK: 2800 / DEF: 2600 / Attribute: Water / Race: Sea Serpent)

"ROOOAARRR—!!!" The Water Dragon - Cluster roared at the group running ahead, then both heads spewed forth powerful torrents of water.

Hearing the roar, the group looked back and saw the Water Dragon - Cluster attacking them with a flood from its mouths. Fortunately, their barrier was raised in time, preventing them from being swept away. However, the Water Dragon - Cluster continued its advance, blasting them with floods. With each attack, the force grew stronger, nearly breaching their magical defenses.

"Where did it come from?!"

"It must be the Guardian Dragon of this place!!"

"That dragon's entire body is made of water!! That means it can regenerate countless times!!"

Taking advantage of their still-intact magical barrier, the group hurriedly ran forward. Originally, they had wanted to fight back, but they had already lost many important comrades in the previous hells. Their earlier attempts to attack the Water Dragon - Cluster, even destroying one of its heads, proved futile as it regenerated immediately. Even evaporating it into steam was useless; it would resurrect completely unharmed. Faced with such a troublesome opponent, the group had no choice but to keep running.

Finally, the Water Dragon - Cluster drove the group into the temple. It did not follow them inside, instead dissolving into a clear stream that flowed into the ground. Puzzled by this, everyone voiced their confusion:

"Strange, why didn't that two-headed water dragon chase us?"

At that moment, the underworld map in Benniah's arms fell to the ground and automatically unfurled. Benniah's gaze fell upon the description of the Second Prison again. After reading it, she picked up the map and looked at everyone with an embarrassed expression, saying:

"Sorry, everyone. I didn't finish reading all the contents for the Second Prison on the map."

"What did you say!? What else is written there!!" Hearing this, everyone immediately rushed in front of Benniah and shouted.

GRRROOOOWWWLLL—!!!

Just then, as the group was reeling in shock, the Hellhound Cerberus appeared. Its form was larger than the Cerberus they had defeated earlier in the netherworld, and its aura made experts like Michael and Sirzechs feel they couldn't afford to be careless.

Seeing Cerberus appear, Benniah began to speak: "The souls in the Second Prison also become food for Cerberus."

Hearing Benniah's words, the group finally understood. It turned out the Water Dragon - Cluster hadn't given up chasing them; it had another guardian to handle the task for it.
