Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 Little Carly's Travelogue 2

Carly followed the path to the village entrance, where a group of children were playing in the open space. Their laughter surprised Carly. Were they really all wealthy here? Didn't they ever worry about having enough to eat? Seeing these children reminded her of her younger brother. Although the children in her village also played and laughed, they weren't as happy as these children. It was a deep sense of relaxation.

Carly just watched quietly, as if she had become part of it all.

"Carly, Carly, they're watching you." The fat man's reminder snapped Carly out of her daze.

"Servants shouldn't speak so casually." Carly was very unhappy that the fat man had interrupted her.

Am I a servant? I'm Mr. Robber! The fat man was somewhat dissatisfied with the new identity Carly had given him, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Carly went up to talk to the children because she loved the feeling of being carefree and without worries.

"Hello! My name is Carly. I come from afar. May I know your names?" Carly spoke very gently.

The group of children had been watching Carly the whole time, and they were also curious about this strange young lady who had suddenly appeared.

One of the boys, who looked rather frail, stepped forward: "Hello, guest from afar, my name is Cedar Branch."

Carly was taken aback and looked at the little boy who spoke with a puzzled expression. Was the name nice?

"Fir Tree Branch, don't talk to strangers, even though she seems nice…" At this moment, another child who was speaking looked up at Carly, "And I won't tell her that my name is Elm Lump."

Carly turned her head and looked at the little boy named Elm Gum with a smile.

"What a blockhead! Can you tell me his name?" Carly pointed to a round, smaller-looking boy next to her.

"No, I won't tell you, Oak Barrel, right?" Elm Grubber was very satisfied with his answer and looked at the youngest boy with great pride.

"Yes… Elm-lump is right." The chubby little boy's speech was still not very fluent.

"Hahaha"

Carly laughed so hard she almost suffocated; this little boy named Elm-Bug was just too funny.

"Carly, Carly, watch your image as a fallen noble lady." The fat man next to him looked at the children around him as if they were idiots.

He wasn't stupid, but now that he and Carly had come together, the other kids had already categorized them as the same type of person.

"Fatty, I don't think you look better than me." Carly glanced awkwardly at the children staring at her, realizing she had indeed been a bit too careless about her appearance.

The fat man looked at himself and realized that apart from being a little fat, everything else about him was a plus.

"Mr. Robber, stop looking. Aside from being a little chubby, you're all flaws. Follow me." Carly was preparing to visit the lord in the middle of the village.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm still your VIP." Carly completely ignored the fat man.

"VIPs are VIPs, don't be so loud." The fat man offered a token protest.

"Hey, little ones, have fun. You all have great names that are unforgettable, especially yours." Carly smiled and pointed at Elm Gum. "Not only is your name nice, but everything else about you is impeccable."

"And you, Oak Barrel, you're such a lovely child." Carly was so happy today.

A moment later

Watching Carly's departing figure, the little brat Oak Barrel was a bit unhappy.

"Elmwood, did you secretly tell her my name because she's pretty?"

"I didn't say it was oak barrels, you heard it yourself."
