"How is this happening,"
No matter what Mikael did the machete won't get away from him. Even by throwing it or leaving it behind the machete would not leave him. "I don't know what is happening but at least this seems like a decent weapon to use," Mikael said as he give up caring about it.
"Now take care of yourself, child," said the old lady as Mikael is getting ready to leave her place. "Thank you for taking care of me and I'm sorry if it's too much of a trouble," Mikael truly appreciate what the lady did for him as he was recovering. "If you may, can you tell me where I can find a source of water around here," he asked intending to finish his actual reason for venturing int he first.
"Well it's not far from here, when you resurface from the ground you should see a building standing tall above all else, refusing to go down after years of torment and neglect, and in that building you should see a stair going down the basement and that's where you could find that water of yours,"
Mikael eyes widen for a moment after hearing that long explanation from the old lady, lost in thought staring into abyss as if his brain cell have been depleted to his last one.
*snap*
"Young man, are you okay?"
Mikael snaps back into reality. "Oh, y-yeah I'm fine, thank you for that info but could you write that down," he said as he smiles nervously.

"Here, I wrote it down for you," the old lady smiles sincerely as she hands the paper to Mikael. "Thank you, now I must go before the sun goes down,". "Oh don't forget to thank the dog as you go out, he's the that led me to you,". Unsure of what he would do with that information he just nods and hurried away.
After a long walk trying to find the way out he finally sees a light that indicate the opening for him to get out. He run toward that light and squeeze through the small opening. As he peeks his head out of the hole, bright light blinded his eyes, it seems that he finally succed in finding the sky again. Though it's hot being under that burning sun, he is somewhat relief with the fact that he is alive to see the sky once again.
He pulls his body out of that small opening earlier, struggling a little but it's doable. When he finally succeeded in getting out he meets a familiar sound coming from the back.
"Arf! Arf!"
As he turn his head around he sees that it's the dog from when he fell down the crack. He never thought he would see the dog again. The dog immediately runs towards him and rubs his fur on Mikael's leg. It seems like the dog has took a liking towards him, it can be seen as it's wiggles as it rubs his fur.
"Well, aren't you happy to see me.--- I guess I should thank you for helping me the other day. I owed you my life afterall," Mikael kneel down to pat the dog on its head while smiling out of gratefulness. As he get up he asks the dog "So, are you coming or what?"
"Arf! Arf!" the dog replies excitedly by wiggling his tail.
"Now thats more like it! Lets go!" he walks with the dog while looking for building the old lady mentioned earlier. Atleast he heard that part before he lost his brain cell. Now it's easy to find a building still intact amidst this wreck, there's not much building left for the eyes to see.
"Well looking at how the lady said a tall building and how resilient it is, I guess that one is the one that she is talking about. Amazing how specific she's describing it. Is she a poet or something," the building in question is the one far to the north and just like the lady said, it's stood it's ground against calamity while the others fell to it's knees. Without further ado, Mikael start walking with the dog toward that building in hopes that what the lady lady said is true.

A few hours past as they walks toward their destination and when they arrives, Mikael realize how big the building is from up close. From a distance it seem so little but when in reality it looks like it was trying to reach for the sky. Now he understand why the lady mentioned how resilient the building. Putting every asside he goes inside to search for the stairs leading to the basement. He wandered every nooks and crannies of the building until he finally found the stairs he was looking for. From the top the stairs seems endless because of how dark the bottom is.
"Ain't that scary. Looks like there will be a ghost giving jumpscare when I finally goes down. Don't you agree with me doggy?" he pats the dogs head.
"Oh right! I should probably give you a name!
What shoud I call you?" he said playfully to the dog.
"Arf! Arf!" the dogs bark excitedly waiting for his name while wiggling its tail.
"Arf! Okay! I should call you Arfy then!" said Mikael confidently.
The dog went silence and stop wiggling his tail, shocked at its master's lack of naming sense abilities. "Okay! Lets go Arfy!" Mikael is too oblivious to realize that the dog is stunned at the moment. He goes down the stairs carefully, making sure that nothing will comes out of the dark to ambush him. The dog silently follows him as it's still too shocked by the name given to him making it rethinks its decision to follow Mikael. As they both go down the stairs they see a door made of metal, it is slightly open as if someone already went inside it.
(Maybe now is the time to use the machete!). He thought to himself as he is somewhat excited that he finally has a use for it now. As he thought of that the machete appears before his right hand. He grabs it tightly and position on his shoulder as a stance to attack as soon as something comes out.
"I really can't get use to seeing this thing appear out of nowhere," as he said that he slowly opens the door and peeks inside the basement. Fortunately, there is nothing inside it except a few junks and a racks of old electric component. It doesn't seem like anybody came here yet so he entered without worrying.
"Now where is the water. Come here witty witty!" he said as he search for it. The dog that is beside him wonder how did he end up
following this fool around. " Did you get it, he he he. Cause for kitten it's kitty so for water it's witty, he he he." Mikael laugh awkwardly as he tells the joke to the dog as desperation for reaction. The dog just stare into his eyes telling him to stop embarass himself infront of it.
"A-Anyway, how do I even know what the source looks like it doesn't seem like the old lady mentioned anything about it," he said confused with what he should be looking for.
Suddenly the dog barks aggressively out of nowhere so he turns around to see what's going on. That's when he realize he is surrounded by bandits. "Oh for f*ck sake! I knew something was wrong with this place,".
Mikael gets ready to defend himself against the bandits. Infront of him there are three scumbags smiling while holding a metal pipe. This is not his first rodeo with this bunch. The first time he had to face them is when he's a teenager, fresh in the world where there is no law to abide to. At the time he was able to run away due to his small physique and because it was out in the open. It was a harsh lesson about the world he currently lives in.
"That's a nice weapon you got there! Why don't you be nice and hand it over to me," one of the bandit says to him. "Sorry, I don't think I can. Literally," he says as he gets more anxious. In his head he is thinking of ways to get through them.
Suddenly one the bandits charges in to attack. As a reflex he blocks the attack but the bandit keeps attacking giving him no chance to counter. Then the dog rushes in and bites the bandit leg, stopping his chains of attacks. "Argh! This f*cking dog! Get away from me!". Mikael sees his chance to attack so he rushes and stabs the bandit right where his heart is. The bandit cough up lot of blood from his mouth splattering it on Mikael's face and uses his last word to curse at him.
Mikael's stands there in silence, it was his first time actually killing someone. In his surprise he couldn't talk, but what surprises him the most isn't the fact that he killed a person. It is because infront of him a screen appears.
