Rezel drove around the wilderness for nearly an hour.
The van was nearly running out of gas.
He groaned once he gazed at the fuel meter.
"Almost empty, I need to fill up soon".
Rezel never thought he would ever abondon a project so early into discovering it.
His sudden change of heart couldn't even be described, neither could the death of Winston.
After miles of driving, Rezel seemed to notice a village board about 2 kilometers away.
He read the sign easily without stammer.
"Lightning District".
Rezel face turned to that of confusion.
Never did he expect to end up in a brink of civilization.
A village in the middle of the wild was absolutely unseen.
For Rezel, it didn't matter. He picked up the pace and stepped on the accelerator in order to get to the village quicker.
It took two hours before Rezel finally arrived at Lightning District.
The board became visible. Exactly as Rezel had groaned earlier.
His eyes gazed on it as though an eagle gazed on their prey.
Rezel drove the van to a stop in the midst of the tall grass. He stepped down from the van into a field of complete grass.
The grass was brown as though it wasn't properly catered as well as it was tall enough to reach a teen on his knee.
He walked, carefully observing his environment.
It was still, as a chill breeze carefully rode past him nearly throwing him to the ground.
For no reason whatsoever, Rezel shook and shivered.
His eyes twitching, his heart racing.
He had never felt this way before.
His calm nature was completely thrown aside during this period.
He walked closer to what seemed to be the entrance to the village.
His steps seized when he heard footsteps sounding from far away.
Footsteps as though people were leaving the same way he wanted to enter.
'Take cover dimwhit', the voice stroke in his head as he froze.
In an instant, Rezel his himself in a nearby bush, likely unable to be discovered in a glance.
The man and woman that stepped out of the village a few moments after were stunning.
Their elegance completely uncalled for.
The man carried a sword at his left and right hip while the woman held a pair of nunchucks in her grasps.
Rezel breath a sigh of relief when he heard the two people walk past him.
Woosh
A swing through the air forced Rezel to weave.
The man and woman that passed him seconds ago now stood before him with fury.
The man eyes looked as though a candle burned inside them.
The man had intended to cut Rezel's head clean off with the swing of his sword.
His expression changed once he caught sight of the dodge expressed by Rezel out of absolutely nothing.
The man didn't let this stop him.
He held his sword in a fighting stance while the woman did the same.
It didn't take a expert to know that these men and women were husband and wife possibly of great importance in the village.
Rezel didn't even concentrate of the dangers that laid before him but instead, focused his brain on the sword possessed by the man.
A red appearance with a bold aura that could scare enemies off just from looking at it.
The handle beside the blade both made of metal.
"The finest metals too I presume", Rezel pulled through eyes still focused on the blade.
Chris didn't mind the glances.
His blade was one of the most powerful swords in the entire city.
It had the capability to wipe out the entire village if he so chose to.
A battle then begun between cat and mouse.
The couple against the loner.
The two most skilled man and woman in the entire village.
Each strike still seemed to be easily dodged by Rezel.
"This is inhuman, how does he do this?!", Chris stunned eyes gave way.
His wife was just as speechless.
It was humanly impossible to possess such great dodging abilities. Every strike be it high or low was countered by a quick dodge.
"Almost as though he can read our every move", his wife delivered quickly shifting her gaze back to the battle.
After two minutes of pure battle, guards approached through the mist that now centred the fight.
Spears held by both guards as they watched Rezel dodge every strike thrown at him.
The guards were stunned.
"The Emperor and Emperess are being humbled by this rat", one of the guards summoned up the courage to say.
A slap then landed on the back of his head.
"Don't dare insult the rulers remember!".
The other guard looked at him with discontent scratching the back of his head.
Their eyes shifted back to the fight.
"Ha Ha", a contented laugh broke the silence as Rezel had finally being brought to his knees.
A deadly strike that landed on the knees of Rezel after Chris had engaged V2.
Lightning bolts ran across his sword and he used this to quickly stun Rezel nearly killing him.
His wife, Quill then used her nunchucks to wrap around the neck of Rezel.
A stiff smile appeared on both faces.
"Bring him in for questioning", Chris spoke pointing towards the village as a drop of sweat fell to the floor.
The guards swiftly arrived and raised Rezel to his feet.
They strolled him along to the village as the nunchucks was still firmly wrapped along his neck.
"Are we losing our touch?", Quill had to question after experiencing the hardest fight of their lives.
"No, at least I don't think so. There is something wrong with that man and I am going to figure out what".
The plan of the two was quickly interrupted once they noticed the intruder.
They rarely receive visitors and took everyone of them as an intruder.
Both had even completely forgotten what they wanted to do in the first place.
Rezel was dragged along the paveway of the village.
It was sandy and looked unkept. So did the rest of the village.
It was old and looked ancient. Huts and mud built houses as far as the eye can see. Blood marks lined on the walls of a building caused a shiver to run through the spine of Rezel.
Rezel halted forcing the rest of the guards to do the same.
His hands turned to his head.
The headaches were back.
The pains spread through his body.
"Something is definitely wrong with this man", Chris nodded as he watched Rezel circle through the sandy and dusty floor.
