A full day passed as the vagrants waited inside the small room, unaware of what awaited them.
The silence was unsettling… the kind that precedes a storm.
At dawn, a loud knock echoed:
"Wake up. You have a task."
They jumped awake, exchanging anxious glances.
Two men in black uniforms entered.
"Follow us," the head servant ordered coldly.
They were given no time to question.
They walked through cold marble halls… descending deeper… toward the basement.
Fear gripped their hearts.
They stopped before a massive metal door—featureless, suffocating.
A servant placed his hand on a panel.
"Identity confirmed. Access granted."
The door opened with a mechanical groan.
Beyond it… a dark tunnel.
Dim lights flickered. Steam hissed from pipes. The floor was stained with something that looked like blood.
"This way," the servant said.
Their steps faltered.
"What are we doing here?" Bleed asked weakly.
"Tests," came the cold reply.
They entered.
The door slammed shut behind them.
No way back.
At the end of the tunnel lay a circular hall—harshly lit.
Metal tables… chains…
And bodies. Twisted. Broken. No longer human.
Terror took hold.
This was no salvation.
This was the beginning of the end.
They tried to flee—
But the guards stopped them.
Crow attacked—
And was crushed instantly.
The guards beat them brutally until darkness consumed them all.
When they awoke… they were chained. Helpless.
A tall man in a white coat stood before them, his face hidden behind a mask.
Like a butcher before livestock.
"Welcome to the experiment division," he said calmly.
"What will you do to us?" Nish demanded.
No answer.
"Each of you will undergo testing.
Those who survive… may live.
Those who fail… will die."
Silence.
Resistance was useless.
Bleed was taken first… screaming… until silence swallowed him.
Rath turned his face away… powerless.
