Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Go Big or Go Home

Inside the classroom, Iruka stood at the podium as usual, looking at all the seated students, and spoke in a gentle tone.

"From today, everyone is a third-year student. Sensei will officially start teaching you Ninjutsu."

He paused, picking up a stack of papers. "But before that, let's hand back the report cards from last semester's final exams. Yukinoshita-san, could you please help distribute them?"

Yukino responded, stood up gracefully, and walked to the podium to receive the report cards.

After two years, she had long been serving as the class's academic representative… after all, she was the only one in the class who could match Sakura in cultural studies.

Actually, Iruka had initially hesitated between Sakura and Yukino.

But at this stage, Sakura was completely obsessed with Sasuke and had no interest in class affairs.

After much deliberation, Iruka ultimately gave the academic representative position to the meticulous Yukino.

The report cards were handed out one by one.

Sasuke, who hadn't yet sacrificed his entire clan and awakened his One-Tomoe Sharingan, had an expression of undisguised joy.

His overall score was still first in the class.

Makoto had no interest in such paper achievements, not even bothering to glance at his.

In contrast, Airi beside him held his report card, eyes sparkling with joy: "Makoto, you're second place! So impressive!"

Makoto gently pressed her small head, signaling her to sit down quietly.

This stuff was meaningless.

His only concern now was whether he could successfully obtain a Sharingan during the upcoming Night of the Massacre.

In fact, he had already formulated a plan.

But the risks of this plan... were just a tiny bit high.

After the report cards were distributed, Iruka clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention back to himself.

"Today is the first day of your third year. Now, I will officially demonstrate Ninjutsu for you. We'll start with the most basic Three Basic Techniques. Everyone, assemble on the playground."

At the word 'Ninjutsu', the expressions of transmigrators like Yukino, Hachiman, and Eriri shifted slightly.

Having been in this world for over two years, they were well aware that the Ninjas here were completely different from the impression of Ninjas who only knew stealth and assassination. They possessed true superpowers.

Thirty-odd students quickly lined up and arrived at the playground.

Iruka stood in front, explaining seriously: "Gather Chakra, form the correct hand seals, and then release the Chakra at a stable rhythm. That's how Ninjutsu is formed. Remember, the timing of the hand seals and the Chakra output ratio are crucial. Even a slight deviation will cause failure."

As soon as he finished, a brash, blond-haired boy couldn't wait to shout:

"Iruka-sensei! Stop being long-winded and just show us already!"

Iruka rolled his eyes helplessly and retorted, "Naruto, you're the one who needs to listen most in the whole class."

Despite his complaint, his hands moved quickly.

The Transformation Technique, Clone Technique, and Substitution Technique… he performed the Three Basic Techniques with fluid grace, making everyone's eyes light up.

Even Eriri, who came from a privileged background, couldn't help but widen her eyes.

Same for Yukino beside her.

If she could learn such power and return to the real world, perhaps her mother and sister would see her in a new light.

The reason she had insisted on moving out to live alone was precisely the oppressive pressure at home… a domineering mother, an overly dazzling older sister.

Growing up, the thing she heard most often was, "Why can't you be more like your sister?" blah blah blah.

This situation was somewhat similar to Sasuke's, who is overshadowed by Itachi.

Nearby, Chizuru was also wide-eyed with excitement.

Before being transported to this world, she had already been planning to start her part-time job as a rental girlfriend, even preparing her disguise makeup and alias [Mizuhara Chizuru].

But if she could learn the Transformation Technique, everything would become incredibly simple. She could even skip the makeup.

Iruka finished his demonstration, looked at the group: "Next, everyone start practicing with the most basic Transformation Technique. Try to transform into me. With your current Chakra levels, you can probably only use it two or three times, so don't push yourselves. Running out of Chakra and still forcing Ninjutsu is very dangerous."

The entire morning, the class practiced repeatedly on the playground.

The one who performed best was undoubtedly Sasuke. His transformation was almost 100% identical.

You didn't need to think hard to know this definitely wasn't his first time using Ninjutsu… he had probably learned the basic Clone and Transformation Techniques at home before even entering the Ninja Academy. He might have even mastered the Great Fireball Technique.

Next to Sasuke were the two cultural class top students, Sakura and Yukino. Their transformations were over 80% accurate, and they were clearly using Ninjutsu for the first time.

"Yukinoshita-san is amazing!" Chizuru praised sincerely.

Eriri stood by, silent, but unease churned inside her.

She remembered the hint the Reincarnation System had given when they first arrived… everything learned in this world could be used back in the real world.

She subconsciously looked at Hachiman, Yukino, and the others, then finally rested her gaze on Makoto.

Among this group of Transmigrators, the one who always worried her the most was this training maniac.

At the same time, many eyes around also focused on Makoto.

After all, the impression Makoto, the usual training maniac, had left on them was too deep.

They saw him form hand seals slightly clumsily. With a soft 'poof', the transformation took shape—

A chubby, gender-bent version of Iruka appeared in his place. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was a member of the Akimichi Clan.

"Hahahaha! Makoto, you suck so bad!"

Naruto laughed out loud without restraint.

Over these two years, their relationship had been pretty good. They often ran into each other at Ichiraku Ramen and ended up eating together.

Yukino tried hard to restrain herself, but the corner of her mouth still couldn't help but curl into a faint smile.

'Just as I thought. A simple-minded, physically adept idiot.'

Airi quickly came over to comfort him: "It's okay. For a first try, this is already great."

Hearing this slightly ambiguous comfort, Makoto rolled his eyes internally.

He didn't take Naruto's mockery or the others' faint contempt to heart at all.

The truth was, he had already mastered the Transformation Technique a year ago.

When he first met Lee, the latter had told him the hand seal order for the Three Basic Techniques in detail.

Although Lee had no talent for Ninjutsu, he listened attentively in class and remembered the basic theory perfectly.

But for the sake of his plan to obtain the Sharingan, he absolutely could not reveal that he had already mastered the Transformation Technique.

A week passed in the blink of an eye.

After the afternoon Shurikenjutsu training, the school bell rang on time. Iruka raised his hand to signal everyone to be quiet: "Alright, everyone, go back to the classroom, pack your things, and you can go home. Today the village will hold a crisis response drill. Everyone, try to go home early and don't loiter outside. If you're still wandering the streets after dark, the Uchiha Police Force will take you away, you know."

Then he looked at the boy in the corner: "Oh, right, Sasuke, stay for a moment. Your shuriken practice was a bit off today. Stay and practice a little longer."

Hearing these words, Makoto's eyes suddenly sharpened.

'It's here.'

'The Night of the Massacre.'

'Go big or go home.'
