Meanwhile, after a few more seconds, Aezaleon also got his energy ball in his hand, but this time he did not absorb it immediately. He put it inside his pants pocket, considering his black shirt was already completely gone by now.
While Aezaleon was getting chased by the only remaining two Galescourge Bearers, he suddenly shifted his body at full speed using his inferior concept of Darkwind and propelled himself towards the only remaining three-and-a-half-meters-tall deer, who was still outside the decaying haze obviously. Also, considering their immense speed, he only had about two to three seconds to kill him and leave before the big boss deer arrived.
On the other hand, again like his previous three companions, this Galescourge Bearer was also caught off guard by Aezaleon's unexpected movement. Cruising forward without any flashy moves, he again used his previous strategy of freezing the deer's feet to the ground through his concept of Lesser Frost, quickly beheading it, which Aezaleon was able to do successfully.
However, in the end, despite how fast he was, he still wasn't fast enough. The four-meters-tall Galescourge Bearer still caught up to him, and with his foreleg, sent a kick straight to his chest with eyes burning in demonic wrath.
CRACK! COUGH!
Aezaleon's chest caved in. His ribs broke apart, jutting out of his flesh in a grotesque and inhumane manner. The immense force launched him flying backwards. He rolled violently across the ground. This event clearly showed his weakness when it came to physical strength and defenses. Evidently, he was lacking very much and was not a match for the Calamity at all.
Aezaleon's eyes blanked, blood gushing from his wounds conspicuously. He coughed his own blood and flesh even while in motion. His heart ruptured, very close to being crushed into a fleshy paste from the impact. Along with most of the nerves and vessels in his body, they were horribly damaged, leading to severe internal bleeding, organ failure, paralysis, hazy-distorted perception, and a state of near-death experience that he could never forget even if he hoped to.
Nonetheless, before Aezaleon suffered from this event and was sent flying, he had still managed to use Matter Absorption on the dead Calamity while also subconsciously absorbing the energy ball he had saved up previously. Henceforth, the miracle happened. The overflowing Energy from the absorption of the energy ball increased his natural regeneration and physical strength, offense, defense, and acceleration by many folds, making the gruesome and ghastly wounds he just suffered become less severe, while also neutralizing the concepts the Calamity had used on him. He even got his left hand back through the timely aid of Clementine and his overflowing Energy. His right hand gripped the claymore even more firmly.
His rolling came to a stop after a few seconds, with the dust and debris hiding his debilitated figure in the ground. Still, Aezaleon, without thinking, used his darkwinds to again throw himself backwards, but this time with a controlled precision.
BOOM! CRACK!
The Calamity: Galescourge Bearer landed where he was just a moment afterwards, shattering the ground in a cobweb shape and shaking the land. It was a no-brainer what would've happened if Aezaleon hadn't thrown himself, or worse, was even a second late in his decision-making. He would've been squashed to death just now, undoubtedly.
Aezaleon gritted his teeth, landing on his feet three hundred meters away from the Calamity in a mere five seconds. The deer did not chase him, merely watching. Immediately, his cold crimson gaze locked with its ruthless and wrath-filled violet gaze. He exhaled deeply, trying to calm his ragged breathing. At this instance, the last energy ball also came to him, which he absorbed straight away.
Furthermore, Aezaleon did not stop there, as he also absorbed the souls of all the calamities he had killed until now, from the Calamity: Venomous Porcupine, the Six-banded Black Armadillo, the White Ibex to the eight rank two Galescourge Bearers and the four rank three Galescourge Bearers. All those he had killed, and had automatically saved their souls in his soul sea for the direct Ascension of his spiritual Ascension core to rank three through his sub-ability, Soulmatter Absorption. He used them all, consuming them.
However, Aezaleon didn't use this insane amount of Energy for his Ascension; rather, he poured everything in him within his blood claymore. Grabbing it with both of his hands, he raised it pointing towards the sky while also activating his inferior concept of Lesser Frost simultaneously, making the ground, one hundred meters from him, freeze instantly as though a frost zone, because of the inhumane amount of Energy being utilized at this moment.
It was enough to even temporarily bypass the world's suppression and resistance on Aezaleon, as he utilized the inferior concept fully instead of partially as a material-spiritual Ascension rank two Calamity. Something which was only possible because of his naturally absurdly strong Will, because of his absolute ability that made his soul robust, dense, and geometrically structural enough to become capable of standing against the supernatural powers of the cosmos. One absolute resisting another. Thereupon, making him quite literally defy the balance and break the order. Something unheard of.
Or not. Who knows...
Then again, it could also be said that because of his own low Ascension rank, the suppression from the world and the resistance from the Laws and the concepts wasn't that hard on him either, making him capable of doing what he did. However, on the other hand, if he was stronger and had higher Ascension ranks, then so would his absolute ability be, which again would make him capable of doing what he did. It was a paradox, one of which no one knew the answer to.
... ... ... ... ...
Meanwhile...
The Galescourge Bearer immediately sensed the danger from the move his target was preparing. It was enough to actually injure him seriously. However, instead of charging towards Aezaleon to prevent him from using it, the moderately intelligent Calamity actually decided to confront the attack head-on. One could say it was disdain towards the weak. Perhaps it was arrogance. Maybe confidence in one's own strength. Who knows—the answer can never be found, because the one responsible for this cause did not know it himself. It just did it. No reason or justification required.
The Calamity activated its own instinctual created ability, Tainted Grace of Darkwinds, made on the foundation of its superior concept: Winds Benediction. A support-type ability that augmented the overall capabilities and strength of its element, Calamitous Darkwind, while also reducing the Energy consumption, the burden from the strong element on itself, and increasing the Energy quality by twenty percent.
It did not stop there though, as another ability, Unseen Hurricane, made on the foundation of his superior concepts of Microscopic Darkwind Erosion and Noiselessness was activated, creating a noiseless, soundless hurricane of calamitous darkwinds of imperceptible and invisible motion, of devastating pressure, decaying currents, and corrosive flow of nature by generating billions on billions of microscopic chaotic gusts of sharp, cutting, and penetrative air currents, imbued with other five inferior concepts such as Murkstream Winds, Grave Currents Erosion, Duskwinds Penetration, Hollow Gale, and Nightwhirls Sharpness.
