Chapter 10 - The Execution That Became a Massacre

The city was celebrating.

Not a festival.

Not a victory.

An execution.

In Qingyun World, executions were not just punishments. They were performances — a way for the righteous sects to show their power, their justice, their control.

Thousands of people gathered in the central square.

At the center stood a high execution platform made of white stone.

On the platform were three people:

A righteous sect elder

Two executioners

And a thin young man in chains

The elder stepped forward and spoke loudly so the entire city could hear.

"Today, we execute a man who spread heresy, who insulted the righteous sects, who corrupted the minds of the people with demonic thoughts."

He pointed at the young man.

"This man wrote a book saying righteousness is a lie. Saying justice belongs to the strong. Saying morality is a tool of control."

The crowd began to shout:

"Demon!"

"Kill him!"

"Burn him!"

"Demonic Scholar!"

The young man stood there quietly.

No anger.

No fear.

No resistance.

Just calm eyes.

The elder continued:

"His name is Shen Wuliang. Today, we execute him to show the world what happens to those who walk the demonic path."

At that moment, the young man finally spoke:

"You are wrong," he said calmly.

"I never walked the demonic path."

The elder frowned.

"Oh? Then what did you walk?"

The young man slowly raised his head and smiled slightly.

"I walked the path of truth."

The crowd became even angrier.

"Kill him!"

"Stop talking nonsense!"

"Demon!"

The elder raised his hand, signaling for silence.

"Any last words?" the elder asked.

The young man thought for a moment and then said something strange:

"From today onward…"

"Shen Wuliang is dead."

The elder frowned. "What nonsense—"

The young man continued:

"Remember this name instead."

"Wu Ming."

The moment he said that name…

Something changed.

The First Sacrifice

In the void, Mo Wudao watched with interest.

"The sacrifice of identity," he said quietly.

"A very rare choice."

The Great Demonic Script floated beside him, glowing slightly.

"Let me see," Mo Wudao said,

"What kind of demon you will become… Wu Ming."

The Execution Begins

Back at the platform, the elder gave the order.

"Execute him."

One of the executioners stepped forward and raised a large blade.

Wu Ming looked at the blade, then looked at the crowd.

Thousands of people were watching him die.

Some were excited.

Some were angry.

Some were satisfied.

Wu Ming suddenly laughed softly.

The executioner hesitated. "What are you laughing at?"

Wu Ming looked at the crowd and said:

"Do you know why rulers like public executions?"

No one answered.

So Wu Ming answered his own question.

"Because fear is the best way to control people."

"They are not killing me to punish me."

"They are killing me to teach you to obey."

The elder shouted angrily, "Execute him now!"

But Wu Ming continued speaking, his voice calm but clear:

"Today, you are watching me die."

"Tomorrow, you will watch someone else die."

"And one day…"

"You will be the one on this platform."

"Because the people who decide what is 'evil'…"

"Are not good people."

"They are just people with power."

The crowd became quiet.

Because a small part of them…

Knew he was right.

The elder panicked slightly. "Stop him! Kill him!"

The executioner swung the blade.

The Power Awakens

The blade fell.

But it never reached Wu Ming's neck.

Because the chains on his body suddenly turned black.

Dark energy spread like smoke.

The blade stopped in mid-air, as if something invisible was holding it.

The executioner's eyes widened.

"What— what is this?!"

Wu Ming slowly raised his hand.

The chains shattered.

Dark energy flowed around his body like a living thing.

The sky slowly began to darken.

The elder stepped back in horror.

"Demonic cultivation… Impossible… We sealed his cultivation!"

Wu Ming looked at his hands, as if studying the power.

Then he said calmly:

"This power…"

"Does not come from Heaven."

"So your seals mean nothing."

The Massacre Begins

The elder shouted, "All disciples! Kill him!"

Dozens of righteous sect disciples jumped onto the platform and attacked Wu Ming.

Wu Ming did not move.

He just said one word:

"Kneel."

BOOM.

An invisible pressure crushed down.

Half of the disciples were slammed onto the ground, their bones breaking.

The other half tried to run.

Wu Ming waved his hand slightly.

Black lines appeared in the air.

A second later—

Those disciples were cut into pieces.

The crowd began to scream and run.

"Demon!"

"Monster!"

"Run!"

Wu Ming looked at the chaos calmly.

"Interesting," he said.

"Yesterday, you wanted me dead."

"Today, you call me a monster."

"But I am the same person."

"The only difference…"

"Is that now I have power."

The Elder's Desperation

The elder took out a communication talisman and shouted:

"Emergency! Emergency! A demonic cultivator has appeared! Send elders immediately!"

Wu Ming tilted his head slightly.

"You call for help so quickly," he said.

"So righteousness also fears death."

The elder shouted angrily, "You are a demon! Killing innocent people!"

Wu Ming looked at the crowd that had come to watch his execution.

"Innocent?" he said.

"If I were weak today…"

"Would any of them speak for me?"

"No."

"They would watch me die."

"Just like they were doing a few minutes ago."

He looked back at the elder.

"This world is very interesting," Wu Ming said calmly.

"When the strong kill the weak, it is justice."

"When the weak kill the strong, it is evil."

"So the difference between justice and evil…"

"Is power."

The First Demon Strategist

In the void, Mo Wudao smiled slightly.

"Lin Ye uses fear and destruction," he said.

"But this one…"

"He uses truth as a weapon."

The Great Demonic Script turned a page by itself.

A new title appeared:

Demon General Candidate.

Name: Wu Ming

Title: The Nameless Demon

Path: Demonic Mind / Demonic Truth

Danger Level: Extremely High

Mo Wudao chuckled.

"Yes…"

"This one will destroy worlds without even using much force."

The Arrival of the Righteous Elders

Three flying swords appeared in the sky.

Three powerful elders landed on the platform.

Their auras were much stronger than the disciples.

One of them looked at Wu Ming and said coldly:

"You dare practice demonic cultivation in Qingyun World?"

Wu Ming looked at them and smiled slightly.

"You are wrong again," he said.

"I am not practicing demonic cultivation in Qingyun World."

"I am introducing it."

The three elders attacked at the same time.

Wu Ming finally moved.

But instead of attacking…

He stepped back.

Then he crushed a black jade in his hand.

BOOM.

Black light shot into the sky.

It spread across the entire city like a signal.

The elders stopped and looked at the sky.

"What did you do?" one elder asked.

Wu Ming smiled.

"I am a scholar," he said.

"I don't like fighting."

"I like…"

"Planning."

All over the city…

Black books began to appear.

In poor districts.

In slave houses.

In prisons.

In brothels.

In places where people suffered.

Thousands of black books.

The Great Demonic Script.

Wu Ming looked at the shocked elders and said calmly:

"You came here to execute one demonic scholar."

"But today…"

"An entire city will learn the Demonic Path."

The elders' faces turned pale.

Because they understood what that meant.

This was not a massacre.

This was an infection.
